Cohort 1 Update

Students have been working very hard on different deliverables that led to the closure of the PBL 1- Survival project. In these pictures they are building their dioramas in Biology about a specific landing location that was assigned in World Geography, and where they will use their survival device built in Engineering. All this will be projected stories created by them. No doubt that students have come up with very creative ideas!

Congratulations to our Tesla Winner, Ms. Westjohn & Ms. Cesar-Collins!

Young Scholars Invent Workshop at Rice University

The Rice Office of STEM Engagement invites high school students to apply now for the Young Scholars Invent, a 1.5-day workshop at Rice University on January 10-11, 2025, where students tackle real-world digital health challenges with cross-school teammates, engage in active design, build and test their solutions, and present to a panel of judges. The focus is on collaborative problem-solving, mirroring industry environments.

During the workshop, students will meet, form teams, and connect with mentors. Together, they will brainstorm solutions, refine ideas, and shape their approach. Students will then engage in hands-on prototyping to bring their concepts to life. Each team will deliver a 5-minute pitch, showcasing their solution and its impact.
