Black History Month Service and Racial Justice in the Diocese of Norwich

Our second ever Black History Month service will be held at Norwich Cathedral on Sunday 26 October at 5.30pm. Come along and celebrate with us in this uplifting service, which includes a Gospel Choir and a drumming group. This year it has been advertised as part of the wider celebrations during Black History month so we hope many people will come. All are welcome.

You can read more about last year's service here: First ever service celebrating Black History month features international drummers, gospel band and chamber choir - Diocese of Norwich

During October, it's a good opportunity to mention that we have a Racial Justice Officer for the Diocese of Norwich, Revd Canon Karlene Kerr is the Bishop's Lead on 'From Lament to Action' and leads the Racial Justice Action Group. You can read more about their work here: Racial Justice - Diocese of Norwich

If you need help with resources, liturgy or worship, or simply how to have a good conversation about racial justice, then please do use the Racial Justice Toolkit, which was put together by the Action Group specifically for churches to use. You can read it or download your own copy here:
