Thinking about your vocation?

The Shared Vocations Space 2025

Are you thinking about a vocation in ordained or lay ministry?

Would you like to explore this further in a friendly and welcoming group?

The Shared Vocation Space brings together the resources to support those wanting to explore a calling towards lay or ordained public ministry in our diocese.

The next Shared Vocations Space begins on Wednesday 17 September 2025. If you would like to find out more, follow the link below to the Diocese of Norwich website.

The Bishop's Certificate in Christian Learning

Meanwhile - you may not feel called to explore a vocation in ordained or lay ministry, but perhaps you feel ready to deepen your Christian faith, learn more, or feel refreshed and inspired. Then this course is for you.

The Bishop of Norwich's Certificate in Christian Learning is open to anyone, if you're a new Christian, or you've been a Christian for years.

"No matter where you are on your faith walk, this course will enhance your journey."

The first course launched this year and 25 people took part. The next one starts in September, so now is a good time to think about whether this course might be for you.

#GreatAndSmall Summer Campaign

Encourage people to visit your local church by taking part in the Church of England summer campaign: #GreatAndSmall - celebrating animals at church.

You might remember previous summer campaigns including #ChurchDoorChallenge and #StainedGlass Summer. This year, we'd love to see your pictures of animals in churches, or within your church grounds. Whether it's a snapshot of some local wildlife, pets visiting church, depictions of animals in stained glass windows, paintings and carvings, we want to hear from you.

Simply take the picture, upload it onto your social media page if you have one and use the hashtag #GreatAndSmall. It would also be great if you could tag @dioceseofnorwich so we can collect the photos locally too and create a gallery from parishes across the whole diocese.
