COVID UPDATE
CURRENT PUBLIC HEALTH ORDERS

Effective April 1, 2022 anyone regardless of vaccine status can enter the NWT. Self-Isolation Plan is no longer required.

You may still need Proof of Vaccination to access certain services.

FCM
PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION IN ASSET MANAGEMENT PLANNING

Master key concepts of asset management while completing an asset management plan. Eligible organizations can register up to six participants for only $245.00 per person (regular price $2,500).

This subsidized training is made possible by a grant from FCM’s Municipal Asset Management Program (MAMP), which is delivered by the Federation of Canadian Municipalities and funded by the Government of Canada.

LEGACY FUND - BUILDING COMMUNITIES THROUGH ARTS AND HERITAGE

The Legacy Fund component supports community-initiated capital projects that restore, renovate or transform an existing building or exterior space (such as a statue, community hall, monument, garden or work of art) intended for community use.

Recipients may receive up to 50 percent of eligible project expenses up to a maximum of $500,000

Projects must be submitted before the anniversary date of the event or personality to be commemorated

ON THE LAND FUNDING
TAKE A FAMILY ON THE LAND

The Take a Family on the Land Program is designed to offset the costs associated with on-the-land activities, so more NWT residents can experience them, as families. The program is intended for families who may not have other resources to support land-based activities.

WELLNESS
ADDICTIONS RECOVERY AND AFTERCARE FUND

This program provides funding to hire community-based counsellors who will support individuals living in, or working towards, recovery and/or support community-based addictions recovery and aftercare programming in the Northwest Territories (NWT).

Deadline for Applications:
March 31-September 1: Indigenous governments.
September 2-March 31: Community governing authorities and non-government organizations.

This call for proposals may provide recipients with up to $500,000 in funding to support new or expanded capacity-building initiatives.

SUPPORTING CHILD INCLUSION AND PARTICIPATION

Funding for licensed programs to support the diverse needs of children, including those from equity-seeking families and children who have specific developmental needs with the Supporting Child Inclusion and Participation (SCIP) Funding Program.

FOOD AND AGRICULTURE
FCC AGRISPIRIT FUND

The FCC AgriSpirit Fund supports projects by charities, non-profit groups, First Nations bands and Metis settlements in communities of less than 150,000 people. Types of projects include:
  • Refrigeration and equipment to support food waste reduction and recovery
  • Construction of or upgrades to community buildings
  • Renovations or upgrades that reduce a building’s energy footprint
  • Initiatives that support agriculture and food

REQUEST FOR INPUT
WSCC OPEN ENGAGEMENT ON PARTNERSHIPS FOR SAFETY TRAINING

Employers, business owners, and all those with an interest in workplace safety are invited to participate and provide suggestions on the type of safety training their organization requires and how WSCC funding agreements and partnerships related to safety training should work.

This engagement will be open from April 19 to May 6, 2022
