HOUSING SURVEY
The Decision Lab, an applied research and innovation firm, is working on the Housing Supply Challenge—a federally-funded project aimed at accelerating housing development across Canada by supporting innovative businesses.
They are conducting interviews to understand the awareness, barriers, and drivers related to housing innovations, and they are particularly interested in hearing from residents of rural communities like ours.

EARLY LEARNING AND CHILD CARE SCHOLARSHIP
The Government of the Northwest Territories is accepting applications for Early Learning and Child Care Scholarships for the 2024-2025 school year.
Full-time students are eligible for $5,000 per school year and part-time students are eligible for up to $500 per course, to a maximum of $2,500 per school year.
Award applications are due by September 15, 2024.

HOUSING ACCELERATOR FUND
The federal government has announced the reopening of the Housing Accelerator Fund (HAF), which will be accepting applications from July 15 to September 13, 2024.
Please note that funding is only available to previous applicants not approved in the 2023 application window.
Interested applicants must update and resubmit their application, which will need to integrate best practices from the previous round https://www.cmhc-schl.gc.ca/professionals/project-funding-and-mortgage-financing/funding-programs/all-funding-programs/housing-accelerator-fund/resources-housing-accelerator-fund-applicants into their own updated action plans to accelerate housing supply and bolster affordability.
