NWTAC AGM ON COUNCIL AGENDAS

The GNWT has extended the Public Health Emergency through March 29, 2022. The public health orders are in place for the duration of the public health emergency, unless otherwise rescinded or revised.

The award honours the sustainability projects that demonstrate environmental responsibility and excellence, and take an integrated approach to yielding social and economic benefits for their communities.

Aurora College and Hotıì ts’eeda 
Edets’seèhdzà STUDENTSHIP AWARD

The award supports an Aurora College student to be involved in health research during their studies through a $20,000 stipend.

INNOVATION IN MENTAL HEALTH & ADDICTIONS

New award for an initiative that positively impacts mental health and addictions care.

WORKSHOPS AND TRAINING
GNWT
SAFESERVE CERTIFICATION PROGRAM

The Northwest Territories Liquor Licensing Board requires licence holders to demonstrate that all liquor serving staff and onsite managers have taken SafeServe training as a requirement for licence renewal.

The training is offered free of charge and is available online to all interested NWT residents.
Registration is open and on-going.

From $6,000 to multi-million $ in funding

ACTIVE TRANSPORTATION FUND

The Active Transportation Fund will invest in projects that build new and expanded networks of pathways, bike lanes, trails and pedestrian bridges, in addition to supporting active transportation planning and stakeholder engagement activities.

CANADA ARTS PRESENTATION FUND

This funding supports existing professional arts festivals and performing arts series presenters to offer activities that connect artists with Canadians in their communities.

ENVIRONMENT AND NATURAL RESOURCES


WASTE REDUCTION AND RECYCLING INITIATIVE

This program provides up to $50,000 in financial assistance to complete projects that reduce waste generation, reuse materials and products, recycle materials (that are not already collected through an NWT recycling program) and recover a useful benefit from waste.

The Rural Transit Solutions Fund seeks to help Canadians living in rural and remote areas get around their communities more easily day-to-day and connect with nearby communities.
