OPPORTUNITY TO PARTICIPATE IN A RESEARCH STUDY: IMPACTS OF GOVERNMENT LAND POLICY ON ACCESS TO HOUSING IN THE NWT
This research study, conducted by a local student in the Master of Rural Planning and Development program at the University of Guelph, aims to understand how land policy and legislation in the NWT have impacted housing and residential land development. The research team is looking for elected officials and community leaders from across the territory who are open to being interviewed about their experiences with government land policy and housing or residential land development in their community.

INDIGENOUS COMMUNITIES STREAM 3 - SPORT FOR SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT IN INDIGENOUS COMMUNITIES
Stream Three was created in response to the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG). Drawn from the MMIWG Calls for Justice, Stream Three has unique social development goals which focus on:
- physical and mental health
- suicide prevention
- sexual trafficking awareness and prevention
- safe and healthy relationships
- sexual positivity (2SLGBTQI+)

CPRA'S GREEN JOBS INITIATIVE
The Canadian Parks and Recreation Association (CPRA) has secured Government of Canada funding via Parks Canada to support a two-year “green jobs” program for youth. This program will provide direct financial support (via wage subsidies) to local governments and other sector organizations, reaching nearly 280 jobs that focus on green career-related activities.
