Preparing for Confirmation and Reception (March 14)

Please pray for Sam Belcher, Laura Bracci, Maria Pineiro, Bob and Jenny Porter, Christie and Greg Stevens, Taylor Stukes, and Glenda Underwood as they prepare for Confirmation and Reception. Easter Baptism (Apr. 4th)

Please pray for Paxton Searcy, and his parents Julia and Houston, as he prepares for full initiation by water and the Holy Spirit into Christ's body, the Church.

Baptism is full initiation, by water and the Holy Spirit, into Christ's body the church. People of all ages are baptized at St. Benedict's. If you desire Holy Baptism for you or your child, or are even just curious about baptism, please reach out to Mo. Jenna. I am trying to get a sense of how many folks might be desiring baptism this Eastertide and beyond.

Celebrate Holy Eucharist together in person every Sunday at 2:00 pm in the upper lot. If the weather is bad, we'll send an email cancelling by 11:00 am that day.

Please register ahead of time. We are limited to 75 folks per service. Please wear a mask, dress for the weather, and bring a chair and a Book of Common Prayer if you have one. Also: Valerie will be leading us in music some weeks; if you are a musician of any variety, we'd love to have you take a week to offer some simple music for our outdoor worship. Join us for Adult Formation on Zoom to continue our theological reflection on Lent. This week we'll look at what St. Benedict, our patron, had to say about Lent. We'll spend some time in small group discussion. If you want to take a look ahead of time at this VERY short chapter of the Rule, it's here , but please join our discussion even if you don't get a chance to read it.

Given the ongoing challenge of COVID-19, this year's Hunger Walk Run will take place VIRTUALLY. Even though we can't gather in person, the pressing need to raise funds and awareness for hunger in Georgia has not diminished. Thank you to those who have already set up their teams to continue the fight against hunger!

In addition to the virtual event, we will also be sharing a youth-led worship service on ECF's YouTube channel with a sermon by the Rt. Rev. Robert C. Wright. This service will be shared at 1pm, and the Hunger Walk Run will begin shortly after that!

We are introducing a Lenten calendar for your kids to peruse during this season! It works just like a virtual Advent calendar-- open the door corresponding to the current day of Lent. There will be an image, or a song, or a read-aloud based on the lectionary readings of the day. I hope this will help your children spend a little time each day thinking about what Lent means to them. You can find the calendar HERE.

The Women's Bible Study meet via Zoom on Monday mornings at 10:30 and welcomes any and all who might be interested. Currently we are doing a series on Women in the Bible--the Good, Bad, and Remarkable. Please know that due to COVID restrictions we are delaying the Low Country Boil Dinner but will be back in August 28, 2021.

The Golf Tournament and Auction will be taking place in separate months. Our goal is to get further along in the pandemic and vaccinations, so we can have an in-person dinner and auction. We’re STILL looking for talented individuals to serve on the Auction/Dinner Committee.
