You can watch then, or wait until midnight if you prefer the late service, or watch on Christmas morning. Or you can watch whenever you wish with your family.
Our worship service on Sunday will be Christmas Lessons and Carols at our regular service time of 10:30. We will get to hear wonderful scripture and our favorite Christmas carols.
Merry Christmas to all the St. Benedict's family.

The children of St. Benedict's have (as always) been inventive, hilarious, curious, and patient. Even during these challenging times, our children are thriving. They are creating. They are loving like Jesus, every day. Their souls magnify the Lord, and so do each of ours.

January 10: The Baptism of Our Lord
The pre-recorded congregational hymns for Advent Lessons & Carols were so wonderful, that we’re planning another one! This special hymn, 390 “Praise to the Lord, the Almighty”, will be to celebrate The Baptism of Our Lord, and the first Sunday that our new Rector, The Rev. Jenna Strizak, will be with us.
EVERYONE IS INVITED TO SING!
There is no experience needed, you don’t need to have a beautiful voice, and it's okay if you haven’t participated in the choir before. Please send your recordings by Sunday, January 3rd to give us enough time to edit them together before the service on Sunday, January 10th.

We are grateful that we have received $310,540 with 69 pledges. Thank you for your generous commitment to St. Benedict's for 2021.
Our goal is for all members of the St. Benedict’s family to make a financial pledge to the church in the upcoming year so that we respond in love and continue to carry out the work and ministries of our church including worship, music, Adult and Children’s Formation, and our outreach into the community.
We receive pledges of all amounts, from a few hundred to thousands of dollars per year – whatever works best for the giver. We simply want everyone to participate and support the church. Would you please prayerfully consider pledging, whether you have pledged before or not, and let us know what you decide as soon as you can? If you want to have a conversation about stewardship feel free to call Ann Canipe at 678- 641-0045 or 770-434-7490. We hope to wrap-up the Imagine St. Benedict’s Stewardship Campaign before December 31.
Please join the members of the Vestry and the Nominating Committee who have already made their commitments for 2021. We have so much to look forward to as we begin working with our new rector, The Rev. Jenna Strizak, to help St. Benedict’s live into our dreams. We as members and good stewards will be accountable for the success of St. B’s along with Jenna. We can build and grow St. Benedict’s together if we will share our time, our talents, and our treasures.
You can pledge online below or by returning the pledge card to the church.

Although we have not been gathering in the church, we continue to rely on your generous giving to support our wonderful staff, our ministries, and to maintain a solid foundation.
The current financial situation at St. Benedict's is not trending well. Year to date we have received $328,251 on a budget of $387,828. Expenses are running below budget also which does help. Please help by bringing your pledge current.
If you are able to keep up your pledge or make loose offerings, there are three ways.
2. Mail a check to the church, 2160 Cooper Lake Rd SE, Smyrna, GA 30080.
The mail is checked regularly.
3. Set up automatic payments through your own bank.
We appreciate your prayers and all the ways you give to Christ's ministry.

A reminder to all parishioners that St. Benedict's is committed to the various care needs of its member families. A dedicated group of volunteers are continuing to offer their time to serve our church community within various pastoral care capacities, including prayer requests, meal delivery and help to families in need, Eucharistic visits with Diocesan-approved safe protocols, and more.
Do not hesitate to reach out to Kerry Thomas or Anna Best about Pastoral care needs for yourself, your family, or your friends. We are here to help and serve!
Additionally, Georgia's Department of Behavioral Health has established an emotional support line for individuals that may not need crisis care but do find themselves in need of emotional connection. Georgia's Crisis and Access Line can be accessed at 1-800-715-4225, or by downloading the MYGCAL app for text and chatting if there is a crisis. This is a free, confidential 24/7 hour crisis line staffed by licensed clinicians year round.
