Christmas Cards for the inmates at

Leath Correctional Facility

Thank you to each person who donated Christmas cards or helped write a short note in each. This year you collected over 500 cards that will be distributed to the Ladies at Leath Correctional Institution in Greenwood, SC. They will be delivered in the coming days to be distributed to every inmate at the prison.

If you still have some unused Christmas Cards and want to donate them, we can save them for next year. I will place a container in the foyer for any cards that you might want to bring throughout the year. Thank you again for your generosity and kindness!

Gifts for the Christ Child

The Holy Comforter Men’s Group is again asking for your help in sponsoring “Gifts for the Christ Child”. The list of families for whom we are providing Christmas gifts is available in the foyer. Robert Bargeron will assist you with any questions. 3. An updated list of families will be in the foyer each Sunday for those who wish to sign up.

The Book Club meeting scheduled for November has been postponed to Wednesday, December 13th. We will discuss Klara and the Sun by Nobel Prize winning author Kazuo Ishiguro. Klara, an Artificial Friend with outstanding observational qualities watches carefully the humans she encounters. This thrilling story offers a look at our changing world and explores the fundamental question: what does it mean to love? All are welcome.

10:30am-Fourth Sunday of Advent: We observe the last Sunday in Advent with a “said” service - no music.

5:30pm-Family Service with Holy Eucharist: Our children will be presenting the Christmas story in their annual Christmas Pageant during this service. A nursery is provided.

10:00pm-Candlelight Service with Holy Eucharist: Come for a very meaningful service with music presented by our Adult Choir. Children are most welcome to attend but there will be no nursery for this service.

The Reconciliation of a Penitent

Father Glenn is offering "The Reconciliation of a Penitent" / i.e. individual confession. Jesus entrusted his ministry of healing and reconciliation to his original followers and to those who follow him today. Reconciliation/Confession is an opportunity, a chance to name before God and someone else the things which we are sorry for and which burden our soul and conscience. "All Can, Some Should, None Must".

Father Glenn is a clinically trained pastoral counselor. Reconciliation is free. The confidentiality of the Confessional is morally and completely absolute.

If you are interested in Reconciliation/Confession contact Father Glenn.
