In-person worship: Due to the limited number of seats, you must register in order to join in-person worship. Each Monday a registration link will be sent out by email and posted to Facebook. This Sunday's registration is closed. Our service will continue to be live streamed on Facebook at 10:30am.
All Saint’s Sunday Remembrance:
This Sunday we will be remembering all the saints of Holy Comforter who are now in the full presence of God as well as others who have died this past year who are close to our heart.
Blessing of Expectant Parents:
We know of at least one couple who are expecting! We will be offering prayers for those who are pregnant on this Sunday as part of our all Saint’s Celebration. To participate, please contact The Rev. Dr. Cynthia Taylor at
We welcome this Sunday Heather Schneller who will be presenting our Ministry Minute as part of our stewardship program. She is one of a number of your fellow parishioners who will be sharing short reflections on what Holy Comforter means to them. You should have received a pledge card in the mail or you can pick one up in the church foyer. Please be in prayer as to how you might support the mission and ministry of Holy Comforter and return your pledge card by November 22, Celebration Sunday.

Lay Eucharistic Ministers are persons who assist the clergy during the service, particularly in administering Holy Communion, leading prayers, and taking communion to the sick and homebound members of our church. If you have been confirmed in the Episcopal Church, you may serve in this office. If you are interested in serving as a Lay Eucharistic Minister, please contact The Rev. Dr. Cynthia Taylor at
We come together, asking God for courage and wisdom, thanking God for love and joy. As we move toward the election of leaders for the United States, may we all join in a season of prayer, committing to offer to God our fears and frustrations, our hopes and dreams.

A novena is an ancient tradition of nine days of devotional prayers, often with a specific intention. In this case, we pray for discernment in voting and for the well-being of our nation. Starting October 27 and continuing through the day after the election, we invite you to pray for the election of leaders in the United States. These prayers, drawn from The Book of Common Prayer, can be printed out and tucked in a Bible or prayer journal. The prayers will be posted daily on Forward Day by Day’s Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, #seasonofprayer. We encourage you to share your prayers in person or online. For more information go to

Thank you all so much for supporting our food drives. They have been so successful. Our next food drive will be Saturday, November 21 from 10am—noon in the church parking lot. Just bring your non-perishable foods and stay in your car while our volunteers collect them. And remember that you can always bring non-perishables on Sunday and put them in the Food Wagon by the front door.
Each year we sponsor several families in need to help make their Christmas brighter for their children. Due to COVID19, the execution of the program will be somewhat different.

If you would like to participate in this program to fulfill the wishes of a child, take the following steps:

1. Download and print the list of families.
2. Choose a family to sponsor.  Please make note of the highlighted family # (ex. B1, M3). You will need that information to sign up.
3. Sign up for an available family to sponsor on SignupGenius.

An updated list will be in the foyer each Sunday for those who wish to sign up personally or to review.

Deadline for having gifts at the church is Sunday, December 6th.

Please, Please, Please!
Do not wrap gifts.
Do not put your name on the tags.
(They are marked for anonymous, proper distribution.)
*The tags have the family # only so as to keep the recipient and donor anonymous. In case of duplication of sponsors, we will contact those involved and work out a selection of another family.
*Please do not feel obligated to purchase everything on a family’s list.
Bags and Tags will be in the church foyer for you to pick up. For those who cannot pick them up, arrangements will be made to get them to you.
If you have any questions or need help getting Gifts to Holy Comforter you can contact me: Robert Bargeron at 706-373-1967 or
Thank you Holy Comforter, for your love and generosity for the less fortunate!

Thank you to everyone who donated Christmas cards for our project. We only need 75 more cards and we will have enough for every inmate at Leath Correctional facility for women. If anyone has any cards laying around that you cannot use, we can. Just let Linda Bargeron ( know by email. She can collect them at church next week or you can drop them in the container just outside the front doors of our church.

If you would like to participate by writing a message inside please let Linda know as soon as possible. They will be delivered to the prison Nov. 19.

For more information contact Linda Bargeron at

Our worship continues even while we are physically separated. Preparing for Sunday is a tool that we will be using to help each of us do just that - prepare for Sunday worship by engaging in the assigned lessons from Scripture.

It includes an overview, a lesson introduction, a reflection, and a prayer starter. It is available on our website here.

Due to COVID-19 concerns, our staff is working remotely at this time, coming into the office only as needed.  The best way to reach any staff person is via e-mail:
