Engage Calendar Update
We wanted to reach out to all of you and provide an update on the changes we are currently making to the JRNI scheduling tool to improve usability for SCORE chapters, volunteers, and clients.
We are currently working to update the JRNI system to use the client database from Engage so existing client information does not need to be entered again when scheduling an appointment. We will also be updating the screens displayed when scheduling an appointment from within the system to make it easier and more straightforward for users. This is currently in progress and scheduled to be completed by the end of November.
In the meantime, we will be importing client data so existing clients do not have to be added manually in JRNI when a volunteer or admin is scheduling an appointment. All clients that have had a mentoring session from June 15 - September 21 have already been imported into the system and we are in the process of importing those that have submitted a mentoring request or had a session since then. Moving forward, we will be importing clients on a weekly basis until the project is completed in November.
Based on feedback from chapters, we are also working to implement a few other changes in the system.
- When selecting a specific location from the Find Location page on SCORE.org, the client will be taken directly to the calendar for that chapter or branch location if the chapter has opted to turn on client-facing scheduling. This functionality was added to the website at the end of June.
- Remove the Review Details page in client-facing booking screens. After filling out the Booking Details page, the client should be taken directly to the appointment confirmation page.
- Update the ‘How would you like to communicate with your mentor?” field label to “How would you like your mentor to reach out to in regards to your mentoring appointment?”.
