Engage Rollout Complete: Enhancements Memo

As of last week, all SCORE chapters are now live in Engage! We would like to thank all of you! Your leadership, guidance, and insight during the entire rollout has been an integral part in making Engage a success. We would not have been able to get to where we are today without all of your efforts.

Our work is not done though. We currently push updates to the system every 3-4 weeks and post these changes in the SCORE Engage section of the Support Center so you are able to see what has been released and what changes are coming. We also send out a newsletter after each update outlining the changes that have been made. You are able to sign up to receive this newsletter sign up on the Engage Enhancement page or text SCOREENGAGE to 22828 to join the email list.

We will continue to improve the system as we move forward. Our first priority is solving any reported issues or bugs. As for system enhancements, we want to focus on the client and their success. Our goal is to make changes that benefit the client and volunteer experience through mentoring and events. We want to make changes that are going to benefit the largest number of users and make the system easier to use. 

Below is an outline of what you can expect in the upcoming year.

In the Fall/Winter, we will:
  • Clear up and prioritize the current tickets in the backlog and categorize future enhancement work (i.e mentoring, events, volunteer). We will also clean up the enhancements list to ensure everything we are doing is listed and those items that will not be done are removed and added to a “wish list”
  • Shift our development work into longer enhancement sprints and shorter sprints focused on just bug fixes to improve the current resolution time
  • Implement additional software to enable us to make future improvements to the Zoom integration
  • Update the JRNI scheduling tool to use the client database from Salesforce so existing client information does not need to be entered again
  • Full inventory audit of training materials and resources available to ensure information is accurate, up to date, and consistent across all formats (i.e. Knowledge base articles, on-demand webinars, and Walk Me smart walk-throughs. 
Continuing into the Winter/Spring, we will:
  • Implement system changes that support the completion of the volunteer profile for new and existing volunteers. This includes client-facing mentor information as well demographic information
  • Make updates and improvements to the Zoom integration as well as implement other identified event enhancements
In the Spring/Summer, we will:
  • Focus on the client mentoring journey and the intake, assignment, and management of clients, requests and sessions that benefit Client Intake Coordinators, Mentors, SMEs, and Clients
