Learning through literature
Students at Tichenor Middle School have experienced Black History Month in a whole different way this year.

Ms.Eileen Darragh, an eighth-grade social studies teacher, has implemented a literacy-based unit for her instruction, immersing students in history through literature -- mainly books written by African American authors.
