Dear Church,
Approaching the 30th of September comes with additional attention this year, with the federal declaration of National Day of Truth and Reconciliation and a continued season of national mourning over the confirmation of many more children lost through the Residential School system than previously federally recognized.
Acknowledging the movement’s origins in 2013, and the renewed momentum to recognize the survivors and legacy of Residential Schools, how can we continue to pursue reconciliation?
World Partners is grateful to host this week's reflections on behalf of the EMCC. We will be hearing from indigenous friends, those continuing to build relationship with First Peoples, and those who have ventured on a journey toward reconciliation, on a personal and congregational level. As you read these reflections, you will receive continued invitations to action. I pray that you will depend on the Spirit of Jesus as you consider your own response.
Today, we are grateful to hear Stan and Sally Bragg introduce us to the Nawash House of Prayer team.
