With the end of the year, we hope everyone had a great Holiday season, a Merry Christmas, and we wish everyone a Happy New Year!

With the end of this night, new possibilities open up that you never knew existed”- LoveToKnow Staff

“Every new year is a unique opportunity. Don't waste it.” - LoveToKnow Staff

This past year there was an absolute onslaught of new items that came out. We picked up a few new manufacturers and phased out some old ones. A lot of the Manufacturers are starting to catch up on some of the lost manufacturing time from Covid, but that has also thrown some wrenches into things when we get some overloaded months of orders! As the hobby moves forward, we try our best to keep up to date and get new stuff as soon as we can! We have had a lot of new people sign up for the Newsletter the past couple months. If you are new to the Hobby and this could be the first one you receive, we would like to let you know that we are much more than just a train store interested in selling! While we all know that we have to sell to stay alive, we also offer clinics (most of which are free), decoder and electronics installations, and some repair work. Along with that we also offer custom painting, weathering and model building! Layout design is another one of our services! We understand that everyone in the hobby won't be great at all facets of the hobby, but we still want you to be able to have fun and enjoy it! So we are here to help you!

Justin is going to do something different this year as a thank you to our amazing and loyal customers. From 00:01 December 31st to January 4th 23:59, if you spend $100 (Before tax or shipping) or more in store or online, you will get a ticket for a door prize. Currently the prize is a Mystery box that already has over $500 of items in it. That is EHS price by the way, not retail! Who knows, we might even fit some more in there or have some other surprises!

Now for some news we all don't like to hear. We sat down and did a lot of figuring. As some of you who shop online may have already noticed, there is a choice for shipping already. EHS economy shipping, which is what is used when you get free shipping, and is our choice how to send it, or UPS Ground! Also, free shipping will be on $250+ starting January 1st. With all of this being said, we had quite a few of our out of state customers ask us if we could send straight UPS Ground, and we have no issue with that, but it does cost a little more. By adding the UPS Ground option, we were able to keep our flat shipping rate at $12.99 and the UPS option is $13.99. As for the $250 free shipping threshold, that will not affect over 75% of our online customers because they spend more than that when they shop anyway. This also keeps EHS as one of the lowest rate stores in the country. A lot of other stores are $299, $399, $450 or more to get free shipping. With all of the shipping rate hikes the last year, this is what we came up with to be the most feasible options. We hope we can continue to offer these rates for a while.

Brekina: Chevy Bison Semi's, Chevy Caprice, GMC and Chevy Pickups. These have become very hot items at EHS. We try our best to get all the releases we can, but some of this stuff sells out as soon as it hits the store!

Fusion Scale Decals: Another customer requested item we started to carry are the Fusion Scale Graphics decals and some detail parts. We offer their full line and carry some of the more popular items in store. One of the best selling items are their real reflective striping sets for locomotives and cars. We welcome Fusion Scale and look forward to working with them in the future. Justin even has some ideas for some sets of decals that you might see in the coming months available at EHS.

Micro-Trains: This month had some really unique cars. CNW weathered covered hopper 2-pack. CNW 65' Mill gondola with the white house Christmas tree. CNW flat as the idler car for the overhanging tree. 60' TBOX with Christmas graffiti. Weathered and graffiti Procor tank car set. Church themed heavyweight passenger cars. GPSX log flats and log loads to go with them.

Tangent: Since October, they have released Trinity 4750 covered hoppers in HO and N scale! Yes, Tangent is back doing some N scale! They released some really neat schemes in the 86' auto parts cars. We didn't have much interest in those, so sadly we didn't get many. But the biggest news was that they finally release the CNW ICC cabooses at Trainfest! We received over 60 of them and we have maybe 3 left. Tangent does show the red ones and early yellows ones still available in low quantities, and we plan to reorder a handful off them when their next announcement comes out for some customers and the store, so if you are interested in one, let us know and we can try to get one coming for you!

Walthers Mainline: Walthers has been busy with releases all year this past year, but in the last month we received EMD SD70M, SD70I, SD75M and SD75I's. 85' Budd Passenger cars, PS4427 Covered Hoppers, and PS4000 Gondolas.

Walthers Proto: 2 popular car we recently received are the 67' Trinity 6351cf Covered Hoppers and the 52' NSC Coil cars. Both of these types of cars are frequent visitors to the local rails.

Expected Arrivals!

Some of the following have already been shipped and could be here any day, some we expect in the next couple weeks!

Athearn: 50' ACF Boxcars, 50' PS5277 Boxcars

Athearn Genesis: EMD SD60 Triclops

Athearn/Roundhouse: 50' High Cube Boxcars

Atlas: GE 8-40B's, Newsprint boxcars, 7550cf boxcars, BX177 boxcars in HO and N scale! Along with HO Ford F350 trucks.

HomeShops: This is a new company to EHS. We have had some requests to carry these cars and these products pay a great homage to some of the past Freelanced railroads whose owners paved the way for the hobby to be what it is today. As much of a prototype modeler Justin is, he loves these products because it brings back memories seeing these layouts in the magazines as a kid! With that said, we should actually be putting these items in the system when this newsletter gets out. We have Coil cars, Ohio Southern and Virginian & Ohio Autoracks, and 40' rebuilt boxcars coming. You can also order through us for any new releases or anything they still have in stock! We welcome HomeShops and look forward to working with them in the future!

Moloco: The new run of Waffle boxcars should arrive any day. We have a very limited number that will be available in store. Right now it looks like our allotment of TOE cars is sold out. We were able to get some extra, but have a wait list to go through. Look for these in store soon though! Road names are BN, Frisco, TOE, and CE&I/MP.

ScaleTrains: The highly anticipated EMD GP40s are on their way, along with the first batch of CSX Heritage units.

Walthers Mainline: Walthers continues to come out with new releases, some of the items we expect soon are 61' Woodchip Hoppers, Amtrak Horizon Coaches and food service cars. 63' Pulpwood flatcars and 45' Log flatcars.
