February 2026

Colleagues,

Protecting your assets goes beyond maintaining equipment; it’s about making informed decisions that support your people, production goals, and the long-term performance of your facility.

February is a time to focus on proactive care and engineering-driven solutions that reduce downtime, extend equipment life, and support safe, reliable operations. As National Engineers Week approaches, we also recognize the critical role engineering expertise plays in every inspection, repair, and fabrication decision.

Each vessel, reactor, and system is essential to daily performance. Having the proper support at the right time makes all the difference. This month, we’re sharing real-world examples that demonstrate how thoughtful planning, skilled execution, and specialized expertise come together to protect critical assets and keep operations moving forward with confidence. Thank you for trusting us to support your facilities.

Stay Safe,

INNOVATION & INSIGHT UPDATES

How Targeted Repairs Protect Large-Scale Assets

When damage occurs in large vessels, addressing it correctly is essential to protecting both safety and production schedules. This case study highlights how a targeted repair restored structural integrity and reliability after a gasket failure impacted a top-head nozzle. Through proper welding, sleeve installation, and final testing, the vessel was returned to service without the need for full replacement, preserving asset value and minimizing disruption.

Keeping Production Moving When Time Is Limited

In high-demand environments, timing matters. This project demonstrates how a 4000-gallon reactor was repaired between batch runs through careful planning and efficient execution. By addressing multiple repair points and restoring critical nozzle integrity, the reactor returned to production as scheduled. The result was extended equipment life and continued operational reliability without unnecessary downtime.

When Specialized Materials Make the Difference

Some applications require highly specialized materials and precision fabrication. Custom tantalum fabrication supports equipment performance in demanding chemical environments where corrosion resistance and material integrity are critical. This capability highlights how engineered solutions protect assets by matching the right materials and design to the process requirements, ensuring long-term reliability and consistent performance.
