WHO: STEM-related Professionals, Educators, and College/University Students


TIME COMMITMENT:

     8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. | Reverse Engineering Challenge

     9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. | Engineering Machine Design Contest


No prior experience is needed! Training provided.

AUDIENCE: 5th-12th Grade Youth from Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Iowa

ATTENDANCE: Anticipated 300 youth plus coaches and parents

AMOUNT: $50 or more

DEADLINE: April 13th, 2022*


Limited sponsorship spots are available! Event sponsorship will cover direct costs such as food, awards, shirts, etc.

Volunteers


WHO: Anyone with an interest in STEM and volunteering!


TIME COMMITMENT: 2-hour or longer shifts from 7:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Volunteers serving at least 4 hours will be provided lunch and a t-shirt.


Must be 10 or older to volunteer. No prior experience is needed! Training and instruction provided.

Engineering Machine Design Contest

The Engineering Machine Design Contest is an opportunity for teams of 3-12 students to design and build a complex machine using everyday objects with the guidance of a coach. The completed machine will use multiple steps to complete a simple task.

Reverse Engineering Challenge

The Reverse Engineering Challenge is a same-day opportunity for teams of 3-5 students to explore engineering and 21st Century Skills while identifying a solution to a proposed challenge. An overview of the challenge scenario will be provided to registered teams in advance of the event.
