Currently, they have a newly created, strategic opportunity available for a Global Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) Manager to join their organization. This new position will continue to enhance our Safety and Environmental focus and processes by providing insight into industry best practices to incorporate in each of our sites. This role will manage the EH&S Specialists at each of our sites, guiding the team in the design, implementation, and administration of our comprehensive environmental, health, and safety programs on a worldwide basis for the company's manufacturing, laboratory and administrative facilities. Bachelor's degree required in EH&S or related field is required along with experience in all aspects of site and corporate EH&S. 5 - 7 years EH&S experience in the chemical industry preferred along with CSP. PPE facility.
Kinedyne Corp.; Prattville, Alabama
Kinedyne has grown over four decades to be recognized as the leader in cargo control products. They are currently seeking an EHS Coordinator. The EHS Coordinator will work in conjunction with plant management and staff towards continuous safety improvements and support Kinedyne's EHS Policy through the implementation of safety procedures consistent with individual Kinedyne facility requirements and applicable EHS regulations, codes and standards. The EHS coordinator will work with management to ensure site goals are aligned with relevant business unit EHS goals, conform to corporate policies/procedures and comply with applicable regulations. Bachelor's Degree in EHS, Environmental Engineering or related degree is preferred along with 5+ years experience in EHS. 2 - 4 years experience in a manufacturing environment a plus. Practical experience and understanding of EHS Regulations (Federal, State and Local), applicable consensus standards (ANSI, NFPA, NEC) and audit programs a requirement.
Saint-Gobain S.A.; Garden Grove, California
Saint-Gobain is the world's largest manufacturer and distributor of building materials, and a leader in the production of high-performance materials and glass containers. They are currently searching for a Environmental, Health and Safety Regional Manager in Southern CA location. Each Regional Manager oversees EHS activities at about 15 sites and each site spends considerable amounts on capital projects and expenses related to EHS. The Regional manager provides recommendations on spending and works with the sites to control EHS costs. Examples include: minimizing facility operations and maintenance costs via permit negotiations/control technology evaluations; recommending and managing consultants; improving safety, which has the ability to lower worker's comp costs; and also assist with the identification of opportunities to minimize waste and increase recycling opportunities. A Bachelor of Science degree in an Environmental/Industrial Hygiene discipline, science or engineering is required. A Master of Science degree in a related field is preferred, but not required. Professional certification as an Industrial Hygienist, Safety Professional and/or Professional Engineer is also desired. The candidate should have a minimum of 10 years of direct EHS experience in a manufacturing setting or working as a consultant in the area of EHS. The candidate must understand laboratory procedures and sampling techniques, the audit process and design of regulatory programs. The candidate must also have an excellent comprehension of government regulations and a balance of objectivity and realism, coupled with the ability to effectively interact and communicate issues internally and externally.
