Enhance Patient Care: Connect with

the HIE and Share Patient Images

We are excited to introduce a valuable opportunity to enhance patient care through seamless collaboration and access to healthcare images via the Health Information Exchange (HIE).

By connecting with the HIE and sharing patient images, your organization can significantly improve informed decision-making, promote interoperability, and ultimately enhance patient outcomes.

Provider clinicians and designated administrators are invited to optimize their clinical outcomes by sharing radiology images through the patient’s health record on the HIE.

With our intuitive HIE Imaging Worklist, accessing and managing imaging across multiple locations has never been easier.

Here's how it works:

1.      Transfer-to-PACS:

  • Any imaging provider currently sharing imaging studies through the HIE can configure the Transfer-to-PACS feature.
  • eHealth Technologies will configure the eHealth Gateway to enable the imaging provider as a Transfer-to-PACS receiving destination and source.

2.      Existing CRISP Participants:

  • Existing CRISP participants may need to modify their VPN connection, which will be evaluated and managed by the CRISP and eHealth Technologies teams.

3.      PACS administrator:

  • Administrators at the receiving destination will determine the storage location of transferred images within the destination PACS and configure it accordingly.
  • Setup includes specifying any necessary changes to accession numbers or nomenclature.

4.      Transferred Images:

  • Imaging provider clinicians or designated administrators will access transferred imaging studies within their native PACS environment, equipped with familiar tools and workflows.

5.      Historical Records:

  • Historical records transferred can be accessed via the Transfer History tab.

We encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity to connect with the HIE and contribute to the advancement of interoperable healthcare delivery.
