$131,000 Awarded in Scholarships

Each year, we proudly recognize the outstanding achievements and aspirations of the graduating seniors of Seminole County Public Schools through our scholarship program. This scholarship season more than 600 seniors applied for 44 different scholarship opportunities. These scholarships - made possible through the generosity of individual donors, community partners, local businesses, and memorial funds - represent the significant investment in the futures of our students.

We were happy to award $131,100 in scholarships to these deserving students with 57% being on free or reduced lunch.

“To me and my family this scholarship means more than just financial assistance. It shows a belief in my potential and an investment in my future. This will allow me to focus more on the educational side of college, and less on how to pay tuition. I am very grateful to the donors whose generosity has made this opportunity possible. Just as I have been supported, I hope one day to help other students achieve their goals. Once again, thank you to FSCPS and to the generous donors. Your support has made a meaningful difference in my life, and I am truly grateful for your investment in my future.”

- Ayla, Lake Brantley High, Class of 2026

$40,000 To Support Foundation Programs

Heart of Florida United Way takes immense pride in their dedication to enhancing the well-being of individuals and families throughout the Central Florida region. With their generous $40,000 grant, several Foundation programs will be supported.

One of our Foundation programs that this grant will support is Take Stock in Children. This program empowers and mentors the youth, providing them with the tools and guidance needed to navigate the path to higher education and future success. Take Stock in Children offers deserving, low-income students a chance to escape the cycle of poverty through education. We offer our students college scholarships, caring volunteer mentors and hope for a better life. Students are selected in 8th grade and receive comprehensive services throughout high school and as they transition to college with a 2-year Florida Prepaid Scholarship.

Thank You Seminole County Sheriff's Office

As long-time supporters of the Foundation, the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office continues to demonstrate its commitment to strengthening our community through education and youth development. Their partnership helps provide critical resources and opportunities for students and families in need while creating a safer, brighter future for Seminole County.

Their recent $20,000 grant will support Seminole County's at risk students on different levels, through our Take Stock in Children program which provides low-income, first generation college students a mentor, college career coaching, and a 2 year scholarship upon graduation from the program, and the Midway Safe Harbor program which provides students with a safe and nurturing environment after school, during evenings and weekends, and throughout the summer months.

Thank you Seminole County Sheriff's Office for investing in programs that support our students and families to help build a stronger community for all.
