Make An Impact for Students!

A Night of Impact, our annual Foundation gala, will be held on Saturday, October 26th, 2024. This event is presented by Orlando Health and gives guests a premier experience while raising funds to support amazing programs in Seminole County Public Schools. Funds raised are used to support school and district programs in the areas of STEM, scholarships, visual and performing arts, essential supplies for students, and more!

We invite you to join over 300 community leaders and school district leadership in supporting our students. This is the best opportunity to show your support while also enjoying an evening with an exciting silent and live auction, networking, dinner, and a look into the programs in our schools.

Sanford Porchfest Donates $25,000

We want to give a huge thank you to Sanford Porchfest for donating $25,000 from their 7th annual Sanford Porchfest event. This contribution is set to make a lasting impact by supporting art initiatives that will benefit our students, teachers, and high school seniors.

These funds will specifically support three key initiatives:

  • Young People's Concert Field Trip for Fifth Graders: This fall, all fifth-grade students in Seminole County will have the opportunity to experience the wonder of orchestral music, opera, and ballet at the Dr. Phillips Center.
  • Grants for Great Ideas: Through this program, teachers have the opportunity to apply for funds that can be used for creative hands-on projects.
  • Florida Prepaid Foundation 2-Year Jump Start Scholarships: Six Seminole County Public Schools seniors planning to major in the Arts will be awarded these scholarships.

Thank you for helping ensure that the arts continue to thrive in Seminole County! Read more.

The Foundation Welcomes Back Teachers!

The Foundation team has been busy gearing up for the new school year! At the end of July, we welcomed our new educators at Millennium Middle School. While giving them information on resources that they can utilize throughout the year, we also gifted them a Teacher Toolkit that was filled with new supplies for their classrooms! These bags included a ream of paper, hand sanitizer, pens, tape dispensers, staplers, and more!

At the beginning of August, our Tools 4 Seminole Schools Supply Store opened its doors for teachers to come shop for school supplies. The store offers everything from traditional school supplies like backpacks, pencils, and pens, all the way to clothing and hygiene items. We were thrilled to help our teachers get set up for a successful school year!

Back to School Resource

August is a significant month for many families as it marks the return of students to school, bringing both excitement and stress. To support parents and students in starting the school year on a positive note, the Mental Health Association (MHACF) has introduced a Back to School & Mental Wellness Campaign. This campaign features a comprehensive 12-page guide, a calendar with daily tips for August, and informative videos from their staff and board members.

We want to thank Addition Financial Credit Union for donating $17,839 through their Debit Card Program! Every time a transaction is made using one of their cobranded SCPS high school debit cards, Addition Financial donates 3 cents back to SCPS!

Since the inception of this program Addition Financial has been able to donate over $260,000 back to Seminole County Public Schools.

Our annual Summer Supply Drive is almost over! All summer long businesses in Seminole County have been hosting supply drives for our supply store. Supplies from these drives ensure that our shelves are stocked all year long for our teachers!

The drive ends on September 16th but there's still time to participate! View our Virtual Supply Drive site today or you can donate online HERE.
