THE FOUNDATION | April 2023
With your help, at our annual Golf FORE Education tournament we raised over $91,000 to support the students and teachers of Seminole County Public Schools!
The unrestricted funds raised from this tournament allow the Foundation to apply funding to the areas of highest need. You are providing access to premier programs in our "A" rated school district such as engineering, robotics, culinary, and more.
Thank you to our Presenting Sponsor, Insurance Office of America, our Double Eagle Sponsors, Wharton Smith and Cisco/UDT, and all of our other sponsors, participants, committee members and volunteers for a great day out on the golf course! We couldn't have pulled off this tournament without you!

Congrats Take Stock Class of 2023
On April 26, 24 graduating scholars were celebrated at the Take Stock in Children Graduation Celebration presented by Addition Financial. School District leadership, Take Stock mentors, and family members were there to join in on the celebration.
It was an amazing night full of excitement, gratitude and enthusiasm for the future! These students will go on to the military and colleges like Seminole State College, UCF, UF, and Vanderbilt, with many of them earning scholarships above and beyond their Take Stock scholarship. Congratulations graduates!

Local Legislators and CFEF Support SCPS
Thank you to the Consortium of Florida Education Foundations (CFEF) for the continued support of the Foundation and our programs. Since 2001, more than $65 million dollars has been appropriated by the Florida Legislature for the School District Education Foundation Matching Grant program.
For Seminole this year, funds from this grant will support a number of different education incentives including: Grants for Great Ideas, Tools 4 Seminole Schools, Professional Development for teachers and principals, and the Environmental Studies Center / Mudwalk.
We thank our local legislators, Sen. Jason Brodeur, Rep. Rachel Plakon, Rep. David Smith, Rep. Susan Plasencia, and Rep. Doug Bankson, for their support of the state matching funds that help local education programs.

Thank you Wayne Densch Charities for their $15,000 grant to our Take Stock in Children program!
For over 10 years, Wayne Densch Charities has generously supported this program and our effort to break the cycle of poverty for these at-risk students. This grant will help purchase student scholarships and support the program overall.

This week we celebrated Admin Professional Day by having a social media contest.
Starting on Monday we asked our followers to comment their favorite Admin Professional on our post. A few days later we randomly selected three winners to receive a $100 gift card!
We love being able to thank our SCPS staff that work so hard!
