THE FOUNDATION | February 2018
Come Out and Play!
A bad day on the golf course still beats a good day at the office.
On March 26th enjoy food and drinks on and off the course, fantastic prizes and even a chance to drive off in a new ride!

We’re excited to have some amazing sponsors joining us like Insurance Office of America and with limited availability this year, you'll want to sign up today to guarantee your spot! Participate as a sponsor, foursome, donor or volunteer.

This is always a fun way to support the students and teachers of Seminole County Public Schools!

Do you know a graduating senior?
Thanks to our donors, The Foundation will award over $40,000 in scholarships to Seminole County Public Schools graduates this year.

These scholarships are privately funded by individuals and the business community and are designed for students planning to attend community colleges, 4-year colleges and universities, or vocational-technical programs throughout the country. Don't delay - apply today!

If you are interested in setting up a scholarship in memory of your loved one or to leave a legacy, please contact our Business Manager at 407-320-0181.

A Great Start for Great Start
Thank you Jeunesse Kids for donating $150,324 to The Foundation to refurbish an old school building and create a STEM preschool in addition to supporting the district’s Great Start and Voluntary Pre K programs! Funds were raised through the Jeunesse Kids Expo in Orlando last fall, where more than 1,800 people attended.

A Life Changing Opportunity for 8th Graders
We're now accepting applications to become a Take Stock in Children Scholar. TSIC, a program of The Foundation, invites 8th grade students who qualify for free/reduced lunch and have a 2.5 GPA or better to apply. Students will be guided through this program with the help of their mentor and after satisfactory completion will receive a 2-year Florida Prepaid College Scholarship.

TSIC will host an Open House information session on February 14th for students, parents and guardians to learn more about the program before the March 2nd application deadline.

In case you missed it!
Thank you to the Orlando Magic Youth Foundation! Seminole County Public Schools' Last Best Chance program was "drafted" by the Orlando Magic Youth Foundation early this month winning a $20,000 grant.
Here's an easy way to give to the students and teachers of Seminole County Public Schools! Every time you use your SCPS #MyCFE4Schools debit card, CFE Federal Credit Union will make a donation to The Foundation for Seminole County Public Schools. Don't have a SCPS debit card?
Run For SCPS!
When more than 1,000 runners congregate on the shores of Lake Monroe for the sixth running of the Riverside Dash, they will also be supporting the students in Seminole County Public Schools.

To register as a runner, go to www.RiversideDash.com and use the “SCPS” to support students in our community.

Not a runner? Event volunteers are also needed for registration, bag check, water stations and more! Learn more.
