Memphis Light, Gas, and Water (“MLGW”) are seeking a qualified Contractor to provide all supervision, labor, technical skills, tools, material, and equipment necessary for the milling and paving repairs, paving of excavation patches, and single-lane paving. All work will be performed along public streets within Shelby County, Tennessee, and within various MLGW work facilities as needed. The Contractor is responsible for set up, operation and take down of all equipment used during the execution of the Work in strict accordance as outlined in the Contract Documents and Specifications.


Mandatory Site Visits:

Tuesday, July 11, 2023 – 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.

Thursday, July 13, 2023 – 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.

MLGW PROCUREMENT OPPORTUNITY

Contract No. 12419: Enterprise Server Synergy Frames and Compute Modules

Memphis Light, Gas and Water is seeking bids for the following scope of work: to purchase and install two (2) Hewlett-Packard Enterprise Synergy 12000 Frames and Synergy 480 Gen 10 Compute Modules at each of the following locations: MLGW’s Netters Data Center, located at 1665 Whitten Road, Memphis, TN 38134, and MLGW’s Hansen Data Center, located at 220 South Main Street, Memphis, TN 38103. These purchases will be adding to MLGW’s existing virtual infrastructure, which will allow more efficient hosting on the storage platforms, faster production and multi-processing, storage optimization, and much-needed opportunities for growth in the changing environments. The purchases and installation must meet the required hardware, software, and services in strict accordance as outlined in the Contract Documents and Specifications.

MLGW CHANGES THE GAME

IN PROCUREMENT

MLGW's Annual Procurement fair was held Friday, June 16 at the Joyce Blackmon Training Center with much success! The Fair consisted of 200 total registrants and eight advocate and government agencies. Business owners were walked through our sealed bid, RFP/RFQs, C-agreements in the procurement process workshops. MLGW Procurement & Contracts Department also held a mock bid opening, details of a mock evaluation with IT; there were mingling and networking opportunities, and capital projects shared in our budget summary. We look forward to holding Part 2 next summer as well!
