Lindsay Lou & The Flatbellys * Patchy Sanders

Friday May 22nd - Tickets

Two rising stars of the national Americana scene join forces for a concert at the Alberta Rose.

On their new album, Ionia, blazing hot Michigan roots ensemble Lindsay Lou & The Flatbellys rest on the cusp of change, poised at that moment where everything shifts into high gear and time rushes forward. As a tight-as-hardwood string band, these ace players know how to sustain this moment expertly. There's incredible kinetic motion in this music, a sense of movement so exacting and precise that it's almost architectural.

Alt-folk orchestra Patchy Sanders hails from Ashland, Oregon. They craft stream-of-consciousness story music with an emphasis on melody and lyrics.  These aren't songs as much as they are musical emotional experiences which conjure other-worldly journeys.  Their music is equally at home in an acoustic art-house, a farm house hootenanny hoe-down or a pop festival main stage.
