Rain Washed Away Unity For Kindness Day But Not Kindness Poems

The April 29 Unity for Kindness Food Truck Festival was canceled due to rain. As part of the Unity for Kindness event, the Township asked for original poems on kindness.

Although rain washed away the day, the Township has captured the winning poets reading their entries. Click below to enjoy the kindness from Upper Gwynedd.

The Perkiomen Watershed Conservancy has tips for how you can be part of the effort to curb stormwater pollution.

Commissioners Summer Meeting Schedule

The Board of Commissioners will only meet once during the month of June, July and August. Meeting dates currently are June 20, July 18 and August 22.

Work session meetings during the summer months have been canceled.

Three Household Hazardous Waste Collection Events Scheduled

Montgomery County will hold Household Hazardous Waste Collection events on May 20, June 17 and June 24.

Fire Department Hiring Live In Firefighter

The Upper Gwynedd Fire Department has an opening in its live-in firefighter program.

The successful applicant will conduct all operations involved with firefighting and live in a 4-bderoom house next to the firehouse. The applicant will have their own bedroom with all living expenses in exchange for a set number of dedicated hours to the Fire Department.

Rain Barrel Workshop On June 15

The Environmental Advisory Council is pairing with the Perkiomen Watershed Conservancy for a Rain Barrel Workshop on June 15 at Parkside Place.

The workshop begins at 6:30 p.m. and costs $35, which includes all supplies.

North Wales Library Hosting Bingo Night

The North Wales Area Library is holding a Family Bingo Night on May 17 at 5 p.m. Registration is required.

The Fire Department is hosting a Quizzo Night on May 19 at 7 p.m. at the fire station. $30 a person or $220 for a table of 8.
