Madame Hargitt à la une!
Marie-Jeanne Delevaux-Hargitt, la merveilleuse enseignante du groupe des enfants
1. Depuis quand enseignes-tu à l'Alliance?
I have been teaching at the Alliance since 1983.
I left AFMSP in 1991 for 12 years to help found the Normandale French Immersion School in Edina. During this time, I also taught at the Alliance summer camps and built bridges.

In 2003, I returned to the Alliance and proposed to the director my expertise and best practices, in order to help secure and extend the development of a variety of classes for immersion students, homeschoolers and regular students from an early age.
2. Pourquoi as-tu choisi d'enseigner?
My mother was a fabulous teacher and my inspiration. Coming from Switzerland, a multilingual country, I knew in elementary school that everyone could learn a different language and travel.

My parents spoke German when they wanted to keep secrets from their 3 daughters and this strategy kindled my curiosity and my determination to learn and understand more than French!

My Swiss upbringing showed me that Switzerland was perfectly small and like my parents use to say, “ Le monde est beau, le monde est grand derrière les Alpes." I left!

3. Quelles sont tes passions?
One of my passions is people and how the mind works. I am fascinated by neuroscience research.

It is a continual delight to teach children who think freely and learn with fun and vivid curiosity, what a treat!

4. Quels sont tes défis pour 2019?
I am so excited about moving the Alliance to the “Centre Joly“ this year. We are going to make it “ très joli pour nos petits “ and help them be a part of this exciting new chapter  dans l’histoire de l’Alliance ! e !

Quels sont tes défis pour 2019?
