Envision da Berry French Summer Brunch Fundraiser
NEW IBERIA, La. --- Envision da Berry’s French Summer Brunch Fundraiser is scheduled for June 8, from 9 - 11 a.m. at Iberia Community Garden (1505 S. Hopkins St.).

They invite everyone to purchase tickets online at DaBerry.org (online store/scroll down to the pink shopping cart) for the new fundraiser event. It is organized by two French interns working for Envision Da Berry this summer and features the cooking of French Chef Agnes Cappello, who was originally based in Marseilles, in the south of France.

As the French interns are discovering South Louisiana’s wonderful culture, they wish to share theirs in return. One of the best parts of the French culture being its gastronomy, a brunch sounded like the perfect idea to highlight it.

To celebrate the strong French influence in Louisiana, the menu will include traditional and classic dishes full of flavor: Kir royal, quiche Lorraine, blueberries clafoutis, buttery croissants and homemade French baguettes among other things. To discover the full menu, visit Facebook.

The event is family-friendly and highlights “joie de vivre.” It is open to everyone who wants to enjoy good food, surrounded by French music and atmosphere. Most of the ingredients will be locally sourced from the community garden. Also, as the brunch will take place in the garden and guests will have the opportunity to visit the garden and possibly come back to work as volunteers.

The goal of this event is to raise funds to support EdB programs like Da Berry Fresh Market a farmers retail storefront that is adding a positive presence to the city of New Iberia.

There are 80 seats available for this event. Adult tickets are $50 and student tickets (under 25 years old) are $35 each and are available on DaBerry.org. For more information contact Phanat at (337) 378-9469 or [email protected].
