Decide to do what is good and right today

Lord our God, we praise and thank you for another day. As we begin our work today, grant us the grace to do it with extra effort, not just as workers, but as Christian workers. Remind us also of our baptismal consecration. That, like the Lord Jesus in the gospel today, we may also be able to say, “the Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to bring glad tidings to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to let the oppressed go free and to proclaim a year acceptable to the Lord."

Grant all these in Jesus' Name. Amen.

St. Andre Bessette, pray for us.
