Thacher Middle School Volunteers

Two middle school students, Wyatt and Asher, from Thacher Montessori School have spent the fall semester helping care for the animals at the arboretum. They also volunteered their time helping to care for the labyrinth garden by raking, adjusting the rocks in the spiral pattern, making it safe and inviting for visitors. Thank You Volunteers!

Wreath Making Workshop

This year we had the most wreath-making workshop participants in Wakefield Arboretum's history. Over 90 wreaths were made over the three days! This is one of our favorite workshops to offer, and it is so fun to see what all the attendees create. We thank all of the new and repeat participants for supporting one of our most popular events.

Holiday Open House and Party

The holiday open house and party was festive and fun event. Over 80 people came to celebrate the holiday season, enjoy live music from the Milton High School Jazz Band, make ornaments, and socialize with new and old friends.

Staff Note

Happy New Year! We welcome 2026 and the true start of winter. Although the weather is cold and the days are short there is still lots of work to be done here at the arboretum. The staff is busy planning for the spring season, ordering plants, sowing seed, and creating garden space for the new additions. Please come and visit!
