A Message from our President & CEO:
All of us with STEM Sports® are excited for what’s to come this summer and for the forthcoming school year. We’re hopeful that the difficulties we have all experienced over the last two years begin to fade and a new normal begins. Our education system is both desperate for change and for a sense of normalcy, in so many ways. And our curriculum addresses several areas of need, such as:
- Increases student engagement
- Activates learning loss solutions
- Provides physical activity and movement
And, our plug-and-play methodology makes professional development and training, well, academic. The ease in activating our novel learning methods is paramount to teaching and learning success. And paired with the new environment that is our current reality, funding sources via ESSER or 21st-century grants are extremely relevant and accessible throughout the United States.
One great example of overcoming so many barriers and cases of hardship is happening at Isaac School District near downtown Phoenix. The administration realized several areas of need and have instituted STEM Sports® programming as an afterschool program on the majority of their campuses. Their students are receiving a standards-aligned education all while playing and developing skills such as critical thinking, collaboration, creative problem solving, and leadership. And all of this is ably handled and taught through our partnership with Skyhawks Sports and their coaches, enabled with ESSER and 21st-century grant funding.
In the recent past, terms like adapt, pivot, and even audible were part of everyday language. If we apply these same terms to the needs of the education construct, our students, teachers, and administrators all stand a better chance at success in schools and their futures.

In January, we sponsored School Connect’s 6th Annual Summit, held at Grand Canyon University. At School Connect, they connect schools to their community, building a village of support around them, so that every child has the resources and connections they need to reach their potential! Our own Jeff Golner led hundreds of teachers and school administrators in an energizer during the event. All it takes is a deck of playing cards to activate some fitness to increase your heart rate!

We had the great fortune and opportunity to present STEM Sports at the STEAM Forum International in Leon, Mexico in February. Held at the Explora Science Museum, we introduced our STEM Futbol supplemental curriculum to over 100 local teachers. All were very willing participants as they explored the double play of STEM and sports for the first time. Hasta pronto Educatek and CANIETI!
