Happy Thanksgiving
Mercy's cornucopia is visual proof that our students, faculty and staff have so much to be thankful for. Each fruit has a written message for all to see which reminds us to keep in our prayers those who are less fortunate than us. Happy Thanksgiving to all!
Bay Scholars Thanksgiving Lunch
Mercy students attend the annual Bay Scholars Luncheon hosted by Founders Clint and Janet Reilly at the Julia Morgan Ballroom, where UC President Janet Napolitano was the guest speaker.
Frosh Retreat
A sense of belonging. A really fun day. A chance to reflect and think on my own. A safe space in which to express my opinions.
Words from the Class of 2020 to describe their first Mercy retreat. Held on November 15 and 16 at Mercy Center in Burlingame, the Frosh Retreats focused on three core themes integral to the Foundations of Religious Studies curriculum: identity, friendship and prayer. This was done through art projects, role plays, individual contemplation, and both small and larger group discussions. Depicted in this photo are students participating in the "Spelling Bee" icebreaker that kicked off the retreat. Frosh who enjoyed this retreat are encouraged to attend the Frosh/Soph Overnight Retreat on February 2-3, 2017.
Physics Experiment
Honors Physics and Physics students discover the law of torques by designing mobiles from lab equipment. After making sure their mobile is in equilibrium (stays "floating"). they present to the class the calculations that demonstrated the toques on each side cancel out.
