Meet Andrew Welch

The Tri-County Crier

Andrew Welch is the official Town Crier for the Town of Orangeville. He developed his commanding voice as part of decades of theatre vocal training, and he designed and built his first uniform with advice from a renowned expert who happens to live in Orangeville.


Andrew infuses his unique style, humour and engaging alliteration into his message content and captivating delivery.


When asked what he loves about Orangeville, Andrew said, “Orangeville is a fantastically complete small town with a great diversity of shops, restaurants, culture. It has one of the most charming downtowns in Ontario.”

Experience the magic of a Hallmark Christmas movie

After spending time in our charming downtown, you will not be surprised to learn that it was a location for a new Hallmark Christmas movie. “Trading Up Christmas” is a story about dreaming big and finding love in a small town. It is the perfect way to recreate the joyous holiday feelings from your visit to Orangeville.


“Trading Up Christmas” stars Italia Ricci and Michael Xavier and airs Thursday December 19 at 8/7c on the Hallmark Channel.
