Chamber Board Nominations
Krista Roberts, Enid Chamber Chairman-elect, is chairing the Nominating committee, as outlined in the Chamber by-laws, to develop a slate of directors to replace the Chamber directors who will be completing their three-year terms on June 30, 2019.

If you have someone you would like to suggest a Chamber Board nomination, please contact Krista Roberts at [email protected] or Jon Blankenship at [email protected] by Thursday, April 11th. The slate of five board nominees will be presented in the May newsletter for approval by the general membership.
52nd Annual Enlisted Appreciation Night
On Saturday, April 20 the Greater Enid Chamber of Commerce Military Affairs Committee will host the enlisted personnel at Vance Air Force Base for Enlisted Appreciation Night. This is the 52nd year for the event and it is widely recognized by the Air Force as one of the finest demonstrations of support and appreciation for enlisted personnel. Vance Air Force Base has a tremendous impact on Enid’s economy and quality of life. This event provides the Enid business community an opportunity to show their support for Vance and the enlisted men and woman who contribute greatly to the mission.

“One of the neat things this event provides is for the enlisted folks to see how much the community supports them,” said Mark Aman, Enlisted Appreciation Night Chairman. “The committee works hard to put this event together. Our local businesses generously donate food, cash and prizes to ensure that Enlisted Appreciation Night is always a success,” said Aman. “This is an opportunity the enlisted men and women won’t have anywhere else.”

Enlisted personnel enjoy an evening of food, games and prizes. Last year contributions were outstanding and we expect this year’s event to be even more successful with the generosity and support of our local businesses!
If your business or organization would like to support Enlisted Appreciation Night
through a cash or prize donation, please contact Kalea Stafford at the Chamber,

Rebecca Griffith
Hometown: Portales, New Mexico
Family : Married since 2002 to Ken Griffith. We have two boys, Morgan (15) and Landen (12). We have two dogs, Duke (our German Shepherd), Hondo (our mini Aussie), Swiss Miss our cat, Lucy our Nigerian Dwarf Goat, two turkeys (Gobbles and Tina), Garry the Guinea fowl, about twenty chickens (which all have names) and no partridge in a pear tree…yet!
Occupation/Profession: Program Coordinator with Rural Health Projects, Inc. – TSET Healthy Living Program which focuses on policy development. I specialize in working with businesses and non-profits regarding their health and wellness policies. I work with them to develop written sustainable policies regarding physical activity, nutrition and tobacco cessation for Garfield and Grant Counties.
What is the best piece of advice you've ever received?: "Just keep on keeping on! Life’s a garden: dig it!” – Joe Dirt
What qualities do you look for in a leader?: Inspiring others to be the best “them.” Working alongside, guiding, listening and directing individual skills to achieve a common goal. Leadership in its design reflects visionaries to achieve success, whether in private business, community, or civil development to cause a community to thrive within and beyond expectations.
If you could turn any activity into an Olympic sport, what would you have a good chance at winning a medal for?: Talking about everything and nothing. I have the gift of senseless gab. I talk to myself out loud and yes, sometimes answer myself as I find I can often answer my own questions by doing so. I do love to listen and connect with others as I do not know a stranger.
Favorite thing about Enid: The sense of community! My family and I are new to Oklahoma as we moved here in January of this year. Community growth doesn’t just happen! It requires those willing to do the work! I have seen and participated in so much in our short time here.
Hayden Staerkel
Hometown: Enid, Oklahoma
Family: I have two dogs, Audie and Baxter.
Occupation/Profession: I'm an Investment Officer at Central National Bank. I help people plan their financial goals. These can include buying a home, paying for education or retirement.
What is the best piece of advice you've ever received?: Plan in decades. Think in years. Work in months. Live in days.
What qualities do you look for in a leader?: Someone that leads by example. One can talk all day long about a dream or a goal, but, actually accomplishing that dream or goal is much more powerful.
If you could turn any activity into an Olympic sport, what would you have a good chance at winning a medal for?: Competition BBQ.
Favorite thing about Enid: There are many things I love about my hometown. Specially, I love the naturally friendly and supportive environment. People are always welcome in Enid. We will greet you with a smile and welcome you into our community.
