BUTLER FAMILY DIRECTORY | COMPLETE BY DECEMBER 20

Each year, The Butler PTO compiles a voluntary Family Directory. This Family Directory is password protected and used only by and for Butler families for personal connection. Teachers are not able to share student contact information, so this is a great resource to get in touch with other parents, plan play dates, etc. The more participation, the easier for all.

TEACHER AND STAFF FAVORITE THINGS LIST

Parents are often interested in knowing what teachers and staff members like or enjoy. View a list here of our staff members favorite things. This is a good reference for gifts as well as every day little surprises!

This list includes teachers, administrators, custodial staff, support staff, specialists and itinerants. This is completely voluntary and will remain open all year if you are looking for the inside scoop.

Save the date of Tuesday, January 28 for Butler Jump Night at SkyZone. Details to follow. This is not a drop-off event. A responsible adult must be present with all Butler students during this event.

Register now on My Payments Plus for the Butler Ball. This event is designed to be a special night experience for your Butler Student and their VIP Adult Guest. There will be a DJ and professional photographer to take photos. Admission is $8 per student and includes one special VIP adult guest. Select which session you'd like to attend before registration closes on February 5th at 12am. Refreshments and snacks will be served.

SIXTH GRADE MEMORY BOOK NEEDS VOLUNTEERS AND PICS!

The 6th Grade Memory Book committee is in high gear, and we need your help! We are looking for pictures that we could use in the memory book.

Below is a list of images we are looking for. When sharing images, please only share Butler events or the specific images listed.

SPIRIT DAY CALENDAR

CONTRIBUTE TO HELP SUPPORT PTO PROGRAMS & EVENTS

PTO events and activities would not be available without our volunteers and the financial contribution by the Butler families. In support of our efforts, we are asking for a $15 contribution per household (Butler Family) as the means to offset the expenses for organizing and holding the events.

For those who wish, you can sponsor another Butler family’s $15 contribution. Payment is preferred through MyPaymentsPlus or submit a check with this form.

*Please check with your company to see if they offer a “Donor Match” program.

**Please note: You must have your volunteer clearances completed prior to signing up for lunch duty. All volunteer opportunities are subject to change based on District guidelines. We ask that you please refrain from cell phone usage during your volunteer shift. Unfortunately, younger siblings are no longer permitted to accompany volunteers.

MY PAYMENTS PLUS VS. MY SCHOOL BUCKS

My Payments Plus is a free, secured, online account which allows you to pay for student fees, field trips, PTO events, summer classes, etc. This is used district-wide, so we encourage all families to register for an account. To sign up, simply visit: MyPaymentsPlus.com and click on “Register a Free Account.” You will need your child's student identification number to set up the account, which can be found in the parent portal.

My School Bucks is a free, secured online account which allows you to pay for school meals. It allows you to have a digital option for lunches (no cards – the cafeteria staff look up the child’s name at the register) as well as see what items your child is purchasing in the cafeteria. To access My School Bucks, please visit MySchoolBucks.com. You will need your child's student identification number to set up the account, which can be found in the parent portal.

BUTLER ONLINE APPAREL STORE

The Butler Bears Apparel Store is now open online! This online store will be open year-round and orders may be placed at any time and ship right to your home. Choose from more than 100 items of various colors and designs for the entire family! Questions? Contact Amy.

YOU MUST HAVE CLEARANCES TO VOLUNTEER

In order to volunteer in the classroom, you must have current volunteer clearances through CBSD. Questions? Contact Michelle Droxler.

The process is EASY and all done online using the Volunteer Tracker App. Every CB volunteer will need to register and upload their clearances.

Pennsylvania law requires all persons having direct contact with school children obtain background checks and clearances. Click here for the required clearances, along with links to the state’s websites.
