Greetings from the Rowan Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship!

We are excited to start the Fall 2019 semester and looking forward to all of our students returning to campus next week. We have been working hard all summer long to organize fun and thought-provoking programming here at the RCIE, and hope you will join us for at least one event this fall.

I would like to also personally invite you to join us for RCIE Fall Fest on September 4th from 3:30-7:30pm on the lawn of Business Hall. We will have food, swag giveaways, lawn games, and multiple musical performances. Please contact Jess Vattima for more details

Start the Semester with RCIE Fall Fest!
Attend the First Annual RCIE Fall Fest on Wednesday, September 4th, from 3:30-7:30pm on the lawn of Business Hall. Meet and greet with RCIE faculty and staff and learn about resources that the Center offers. Plus there will be lawn games, food, giveaways, and multiple musical guests! Register here.

Attend Crowdfunding for Social Good on September 24th and learn how non-profits and new ventures can maximize crowdfunding and minimize staff time. Mark Moore Returns for an Encore Session of Coffee with an Entrepreneur

Rowan Student Startup Featured on Rowan Today
Arke Aeronautics, a Rowan student and Rowan - backed startup company that uses life-saving autonomous drone technology for first responders, was recently featured on Rowan Today. CEO and Mechanical Engineering Graduate Brandon Graham says that the company is "not shaving seconds off the response time, we're saving minutes and those minutes can be the difference between life and death". Rowan Students Chosen to Co-Develop Apps with Inspira Health
Rowan students Shane Price and Ryan MacAdams were chosen to co-develop apps with Inspira Health through their recent App Development Pitch program. Inspira launched the first ever program back in March with the goal to have a security app and productivity app designed. Price and MacAdams are working to implement the new apps by the end of September.

Dr. Susana Santos Receives Kauffman Foundation Award
Entrepreneurship Professor Susana Santos received the Kauffman Foundation Award for best paper in gender and diversity and entrepreneurship at the Academy of Management Annual Conference earlier this month. The Paper was co-authored with Dr. Xaver Neumeyer from UNC Wilmington and titled "Entrepreneurial Team Performance: The Effects of Gender Composition and Team Dynamics".
New RCIE Research Fellows Tackle Bold Projects
We are pleased to announce the selection of four new Entrepreneurship Research Fellows for 2019-2020: Paul Sanchez-Ruiz (DePaul University), Wendy Chen (George Mason University), Ileana Maldonado-Bautista (Baylor University), and Shelby Solomon (University of West Florida). Dr. Eric Liguori Named to JSBM Top 100 Reviewer List
Dr. Eric Liguori was named a Top 100 Reviewer for Journal of Small Business Management, one of the field's most prestigious peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Liguori has been reviewing for JSBM for nearly a decade.
Dr. Mike Dominik featured by National Organization
The United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship chose Rowan's Dr. Mike Dominik as this week's featured member. USASBE is the world's largest organization dedicated to advancing entrepreneurship education through bold teaching, scholarship, and practice.
