Meet the founders of AccelerateRU! Nine companies were accepted to 2022 cohort of AccelerateRU, RCIE's summer accelerator program that provides Rowan students with the needed resources and mentorship to grow and scale their ventures.

Why do hospitals decorate the walls and bandages to look child friendly but not the intimidating devices themselves? At 4Umedicaldesigns we have a mission to reduce medical anxiety and fear, by decorating dismal medical devices like IV Bags and Syringes to look more child friendly.
Nicholas Nastasi is majoring in Business Management with a minor in Entrepreneurship and MIS. He is founder of 4Umedicaldesigns, which earned Second Place in the 2022 Rohrer New Venture Competition and was named to Life Changing Labs’ 22 under 22 list in 2022.

Art for Hope D.I.Y Creatives' Studio is a home where you can give hope while receiving hope, with a portion of all sales benefiting free mental health treatment and access to the arts for those in need. Through D.I.Y paint parties, creative memberships, mental health and art-therapy based classes, Art for Hope Creatives' Studio plans to eradicate the mental health crisis.
Ashley Kulikowski is majoring in Psychology and is Founder and CEO of Fearless Movement, a 501(c)(3) Epilepsy and Mental Health Advocacy non-profit organization, Owner of Art for Hope Creatives' Studio and Co-Founder and Executive Director of Fearless Women Ministries. Ashley received the 30 under 30 SNJ Millennials Trendsetter Award was Philly Magazine’s Top 5 Health Hero Award Nominee and is a current representative of the Miss America Organization. As an Epilepsy Warrior for the past 11 years, Ashley continues to equip schools, hospitals and community groups to rise above fear.

Michael Iuliano is a recent graduate of the Rohrer College of Business and currently works at Citi Bank as a Loan Documentation & Processing Analyst.

East Coast Jewels wants everyone to feel beautiful in their own way and places an emphasis on ways for women to express themselves through the jewelry they wear that is not only beautiful, but accessible and affordable. East Coast Jewels believes in quality craftsmanship. All pieces are handmade and can be tailored to the unique style of everyone. They strive for their customers to be satisfied, and feel their absolute best when wearing a piece of East Coast Jewels.
Inspired by the town she calls home, Marketing major Madison Mahon sought an opportunity to turn her side-passion into a full-fledged jewelry business. She first launched the business on Instagram in 2019 and recently earned three awards from the Best of Jersey Shore 2022: Gold in Jewelry Store, Gold in Gift Shop and Silver in Place to Buy a Unique Gift.

Generazione is a small batch Italian sauce company that specializes in all fresh and natural ingredients and small batch ideology to deliver a great tasting product. Generazione recently began cooking in a registered kitchen and updated their packaging label to include a ReciPal nutrition label, a recipe and company story. The company hopes to branch into at-home catering.
Jimmy Benavente founded Generazione during his senior year of high school and continued to grow the company throughout his college career at Rowan University where he recently graduated with a major in Entrepreneurship.

Bob Patterson is the Founder of High Plasma, LLC and a process engineer at Electronic Fluorocarbons, where he designs and builds processes to compress and purify rare and specialty gases for the semiconductor, medical and aerospace industry. Bob recently received his chemical engineering degree from Rowan University. He continues to conduct research at Rowan in plasma physics for NASA and the USDA along with advisor Dr. Gary Thompson, which is where the initial idea for cannabis sterilization came from.

PULLATracker is a safety app made for women by women that protects women traveling through Europe. PULLATracker previously won “Best in Show” at the 2022 New Venture Expo and continues its journey to success through RCIE's AccelerateRU program.
Siena Rampulla is CEO and Founder of PULLATracker. She is majoring in Psychology, works on-air at the Rowan Television Network and is a sister of Sigma Delta Tau.

SHEARS is a veteran-owned company with a passion for beauty and confidence. With every service you receive, you are guaranteed to leave with an overwhelming sense of confidence. Our staff are highly- skilled barbers and stylists who live and breathe the art of beauty.
Julian Doroteo is the owner, founder and hiring manager of SHEARS. He is a Licensed Cosmetologist and Barber with eight years of experience in the industry. Julian holds a B.S in Entrepreneurship from Rowan University and is also a USMC Reservist.
Lizbeth Carmona is the SHEARS Day-to-Day Operations Manager and financial record keeper. She is a licensed Cosmetologist and Barber with six years of experience in the industry and holds an Associate’s Degree in Business Studies.

Xoaesis is a social media aggregation platform that aims to centralize content that is created across various social media platforms into a single algorithmically generated feed. This will allow us to change the way online content is consumed, distributed and monetized, leading to a better experience for a creator’s audience as well as a better method to distribute the content they create.
Dallas Hartsough is majoring in Entrepreneurship at Rowan University He possesses years of experience in digital media production and continues to develop knowledge in the field of management and logistics through his studies.
Nabil Akbar is in the computer science program at Rutgers University and leads development of Xoaesis.

RCIE Alum interning at Cushman & Wakefield

Joe Sokolowski, a finance major and past student worker of the RCIE, interned with commercial real estate firm Cushman & Wakefield over the summer. Joe worked directly with leasing clients and was responsible for seeking growth opportunities. He looks to continue working in real estate after he graduates this spring. Read more about Joe here.

SIE's high school program featured in Rowan Today

Rowan Today recently published an article highlighting successful summer programs at Rowan University. The School of Innovation & Entrepreneurship's Think Like an Entrepreneur Summer Academy was featured, which graduated 62 high school junior and seniors in the 2022 summer cohort and awarded its 1,000th free college credit hour. Liguori awarded Best Paper in Women Entrepreneurship

Congratulations to Dr. Eric Liguori for winning the Best Paper in Women Entrepreneurship at the 66th Annual ICSB World Congress. While there, he was also awarded the ICSB Global Excellence Award for "Revolutionizing Entrepreneurship education.
