Welcoming Mr. Joe Cosgrove as the inaugural Entrepreneur in Residence
Student entrepreneurs, faculty and staff came together to formally welcome Mr. Joe Cosgrove as the inaugural Entrepreneur in Residence for the School of Innovation & Entrepreneurship at Rowan University.

Mr. Cosgrove ('00) is a Rowan Alumnus and has served in the healthcare industry for over 30 years. Most recently, Mr. Cosgrove retired as Chairman, President and CEO at Pentec Health and became President and CEO of Leiters. He shared his passion for paving the way for bright leaders and that he considered it a blessing to pay it forward to Rowan students so that they might not struggle as he did. As Mr. Cosgrove expressed the impact Rowan has made in his life, he shared, "Rowan means so much to me and my family. This is my university. This is my home. Rowan has never left my heart." 

Mr. Cosgrove also hosted RCIE's Coffee with an Entrepreneur this month and shared his experiences and entrepreneurial journey with aspiring student entrepreneurs. He shared, "Every strategy starts with a "vision", and it's the difference between where we are today and where we want to be."

2023 New Venture Expo
The New Venture Expo features over 45 idea-stage student startups from various industries including F&B, cannabis commercialization, retail, entertainment and more and challenges teams to think big using the entrepreneurial mindset. Students are tasked with creating a solution or service to a pain point or problem and asked to display their idea at a decorated expo booth.

Celebrating 5 years of Studio 231 and launch of Creatives 230
Studio 231 and Creatives 230 joined together to celebrate milestones and new beginnings with students, faculty and alumni. Current and past projects were on display showcasing the innovative and collaborative work both spaces are creating to advance and support entrepreneurship across Rowan.
Saxbys Founder & CEO speaks with Rowan students
"Coffee never made my heart race, our mission did," said Nick Bayer, Founder and CEO of Saxbys. Bayer shared his journey from launching in residential apartments in April 2015 to today with over 20 cafes, including Rowan's Business Hall location, all focused on the Saxbys mission to "Make Life Better" through their Experiential Learning Platform (ELP) and Student CEO program. Debbie Duffield hosts Coffee with an Entrepreneur
Debbie Duffield, Founder of Classic Touch Embroidery LLC, shared her journey of running a company for the past 28 years. Students enjoyed learning about the importance of attention to detail and excellent customer service for various clientele.
Rowan student creates rideshare app
Dillion Wagner, Founder of Wags Wheels LLC. and former Rowan student, is developing a rideshare app accessible only to Rowan students after seeing the need for safe rides home. Learn more here.
Celebrating National Entrepreneurship Week with NACCE
Ashley Kulikowski (Psychology 23') and Andrew Bunoza (RCIE Program and Events Coordinator) joined leaders in business and higher education at the National Association of Community Colleges and Entrepreneurship (NACCE) Celebration. As a Community College 3+1 student, Ashley shared how RCIE helped launch her startup, Art for Hope Studio.
Chris McDonnell hosts Making A Maker
Chris McDonnell, owner and founder of the McD Workshop, hosted Maker a Maker and spoke about his work as an animator, creator and cartoonist. He shared his experience working with Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon and Netflix, and advised students on the importance of surrounding themselves with friends as a motivating team. Thank you, Chris!
