Mike Williams Kicks Off Coffee with an Entrepreneur on 2/5
Join the RCIE on February 5th at 11AM for our Coffee with an Entrepreneur series. Mike Williams, President of SureWay Property Management, will talk about the placement and management of tenants for clients who include rental property as part of their investment portfolio. Attend the RCIE Spotlight Speaker Series (2/12)
Attend the RCIE Spotlight Speaker Series on February 12th at 6:30PM featuring Justin Klein, Gregory Seltzer, and Kimberly Klayman of Ballard Spahr LLP. They will be discussing the formation and organization on good corporate standards, raising capital, and positioning the venture for an exit. RSVP here. Studio 231 Adds New Spring Programming
Studio 231 has been working to revamp their student programming. We are keeping student favorites, such as the 3D Printing Seminar, Design Your Own series, and Destructables, but also adding Build Your Brand with Studio 231, an Onshore Workshop, a Tools Tutorial Workshop, a new How It's Designed and How It's Made series, and more! Second Rowan Student Startup Lands on the Shelves at Whole Foods
Jacques Engelbrecht '18 completed the RCIE Summer Accelerator program this past summer. From only a homemade prototype 7 months ago, Jacques' company is now producing product at scale with a co-packer and just started in the food incubator at the Cherry Hill Whole Foods. Congrats Jacques.
3D Tangible Solutions Wins First Place at 2019 Idea Challenge
Co-Founders Benjamin Taylor and Nicole Testa took home first place at the 2019 Idea Challenge for their startup 3D Tangible Solutions. It offers a service that creates 3D Printed Ultrasound Models to parents and familes that wish to enhance their pregnancy through the power of touch. Dr. Malin Brännback Speaks at Faculty Speaker Series
Dr. Malin Brännback, Professor of International Business Abo Akademi University, spoke about the understanding of entrepreneurial cognition through the lenses of context at this month's Faculty Speaker Series. She discussed the idea that understanding context can offer alternatives to conceptualize the impacts on entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial behavior. A huge thank you to Dr. Brännback for traveling to Rowan to speak with our faculty, staff, and students.
SafeQuest Team Pitches to E&I Class
Chris Carras and Stephen Kovarik, Co-Founders of SafeQuest, pitched their app to a section of Entrepreneurship & Innovation students. They explained how the idea started as an E&I class project and grew into a startup company. SafeQuest has officially launched on Rowan's campus and can be downloaded through the App Store.
