The Rowan Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (RCIE) was recognized as one of five finalists from North and South America nominated for the "America's Most Impactful Initiative of the Year" award at the 2024 Triple E Awards, presented by the Accreditation Council for Entrepreneurial and Engaged Universities (ACEEU). The Triple E Awards honor global achievement in entrepreneurship in higher education through their ecosystems and engagement on college campuses and in the surrounding regions.

The RCIE was recognized for its mission of "championing the next generation of entrepreneurs, innovators, and change-makers" and its impactful programming and events, along with initiatives such as their Startup Opportunity Fund, Accelerate South Jersey, and AccelerateRU. These programs unite members of the Rowan community and the broader region from diverse backgrounds and disciplines to support entrepreneurial thinking. Additionally, RCIE's interdisciplinary hubs, Studio 231 and Creatives 230, were highlighted for their approach to promoting collaborative innovation, creativity, and experiential learning.

RCIE Assistant Director Jessica Vattima attended the Triple E Awards ceremony in São Paulo, Brazil, representing Rowan University as one of the finalists. Jessica emphasized the significance of this recognition, stating, "Being named a finalist on a global stage is a great honor for the university and further validates the incredible opportunities and resources our students have to learn and grow through our programs."

2024 Innovation & Entrepreneurship Faculty Certificate Program

RCIE is pleased to announce the 2024 cohort of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Faculty Certificate Program. In this program, Rowan University faculty members will discover experiential tools to foster an entrepreneurial mindset, inspire creativity, and drive innovation within the classroom.

Made possible through their partnership with NFL alum Tiki Barber, Harrison and Justin, alongside their closest family and friends, proudly distributed their superfood granola bars in front of the NASDAQ billboard.

The Truist Foundation has made a $43,000 gift to support Accelerate South Jersey, an initiative led by Sr. Lecturer of Entrepreneurship Mike Dominik within the School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship. This initiative aims to empower small businesses in New Jersey. Read the full story here.
