Not all record breaking is a triumph. As we take in the enormity of the news that 2023 has now been confirmed as the world’s hottest year on record, taking action to protect all life on earth must be an urgent concern for us all. Something not lost on King Charles who drew a clear line between our faith and caring for creation in his Christmas message (see below).
Every one of us can review small steps we can take at home, such as what we choose to eat which can be loving acts of care (see this editions Magazine Article). We can also ensure that we upskill to obtain the funding that we need for those more challenging projects such as replacing the church lighting or heating to move away from fossil fuels – read on to find out about the Planning & Delivering Your Net Zero Carbon Fundraising Appeal webinars coming up.
Note: Some of the articles below link to the Church Times. You can read up to four Church Times articles each month free of charge by registering on their website.
God bless

-
Find out which constituency your parish is in using the map here.
-
Can your PCC and other local community groups like to your voice to the Climate Coalition’s open letter to party leaders?
-
Empower your congregation to act in the run up to the next UK general election by using the Christian Aid Lent Course ‘Act on Poverty'.
