Grants at Work!

Hear these testimonies from our grant beneficiaries:

From Noel UMC, March 2024 Grant Recipient

“The Lemonade Day summer camp at Noel Memorial UMC, Shreveport, empowered 28 young entrepreneurs, many of whom live in the Highland Neighborhood surrounding the church, to launch their own micro-businesses while learning crucial financial literacy skills.

The week-long program concluded with a vibrant marketplace where campers earned over $700 in sales. Participants chose to donate a portion of their profits to the Noel Neighborhood Ministries Food Pantry, showcasing both their business skills and generosity.

Students were invited to an event on Monday, November 25th, to tour and present the money they raised, more than $100, to the Food Pantry.”

Make your budget tell your story!

A well-crafted budget should clearly connect every expense to your project's goals and activities. Be specific about what funds will accomplish, include any in-kind or matching contributions and ensure your numbers are correct.

Please remember to refer to our guidelines for a strong financial presentation.
