LIVE HEALTHY, LIVE WELL - EDITOR'S NOTE

Hey there, Shaniqua

Ready to pick up where we left off last month? Envisioning this year's first quarter outcomes is the perfect moment to harness the energy and fulfillment that come from actively bringing your aspirations to life. Remember, while doubts may accompany you on the journey of goal achievement, they are simply part of the process. Keep moving forward.

This month, I encourage you to embrace a transformative new habit, a heart centric approach to your well-being. Below you'll find five heart-healthy eating options that are both enjoyable and accessible. To further support your transformation, [if follow through remains a challenge] invest in yourself by joining one of my upcoming group coaching sessions, where you'll receive community support and techniques to break through barriers.

Lastly, we're in this together. Let's continue to cultivate the vibrant lives we deserve; turning knowledge into action and wellness goals into lived experiences!

Many Blessings,

NEW HABIT - HEART HEALTHY FOODS

It's time to take charge of your heart health! Eating heart healthy foods can support healthy circulation and maintain your heart health throughout your life. Here are five delicious foods that can easily be incorporated into your favorite meals and snacks.

Sourced from our friends Ask The Scientists, providers of relevant articles about the human body, health, and how health supplements impact the body.

Check out the full article here.

  1. Fatty Fish - Research indicates the Omega-3 Fatty Acids found in fatty fish promote healthy blood vessel function. By keeping blood vessels in tip-top shape, you are ultimately helping to keep your heart in good health.
  2. Oatmeal - According to the American Dietetic Association, high-fiber foods have merits beyond digestive health. Your heart’s health depends on fiber, too. Fiber-rich foods (like oatmeal) serve your cardiovascular system by helping maintain healthy levels of low-density lipoproteins in your blood.
  3. Berries - Brimming with potent antioxidants that are great for your heart because they help maintain healthy pressure in your vessels. These compounds also protect your cardiovascular system from oxidative stress and free-radical damage.
  4. Dark Chocolate (70% cocoa and above) - Another source rich in antioxidant compounds called polyphenols, shown to help blood vessels relax between heart beats. This relaxation means blood can flow more easily through blood vessels.
  5. Avocado - Contains large stores of monounsaturated fatty acids and bursting with antioxidants and potassium. Potassium, an essential mineral critical for heart health, helps maintain healthy blood and useful for managing smooth muscle contraction found all over the body.

Ask The Scientist philosophy: If you feed the cells in your body exactly what they need, your health will benefit.
