Epcon® has built a proprietary and patent worthy Oven for the Wood Processing industry, which is preparing to ship to Finland.
The end user had developed stringent parameters and requirements for the Oven, and the team at Epcon® rose to the challenge with an equally innovative design to optimize the customer's  specialized process.
The system has indirect fired heating to ensure that the flame and burner are isolated from the wood products. The design allows for safely heat-treating the product in isolation from combustion by-products, so only purified pre-heated  air is supplied to the Oven.

Over 25 years ago, Epcon® supplied a medium-sized 3 -Can Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer (RTO), to a major Tank Car & Truck Loading/Unloading and Cleaning Enterprise. At the time, Epcon® provided turnkey system, including installation, commencing with design engineering through manufacturing to field installation. When it came time to replace the unit, the customers turned to our team to re-engineer the system with the latest designs and technology.

After much design consideration, the optimal solution was to replace the old Oxidizer with a more efficient 2 -Can RTO   with 50% larger capacity .  This new RTO utilizes state of the art materials and controls, and the overall system design and operating efficiency have vastly improved .

Just like for the original project, Epcon® had the great opportunity to help our customers, from start to finish, with another successful turnkey installation. Getting this system up and running was a great way for us to proudly end our 2015.
Epcon®  was thrilled to have obtained this sizable RTO project with one of the most esteemed Can Manufactures in the industry.

This was a major project, not only for Epcon®, but  for the end-user as well.  The 55,000 SCFM 2-CAN RTO, is feed by multiple duct-ways from various emission streams throughout the facility.  Epcon was responsible for the entire system design, including the duct-work, as well as site preparation, concrete work and utility hookup.

Our entire team  put its heart and soul in designing and successfully installing the innovative system, and looks forward to  assisting with preventative maintenance and service for the long life of the system and assisting with future replacement projects.

Several years ago, Epcon® furnished a 5,000 SCFM Direct Fired Thermal Oxidizer for international chemical company,   designed to aid in gasoline processing.
Our team proudly re-designed and custom manufactured an even better replacement unit. This is a specialized Oxidizer, which boast a unique exhaust stack and operates  at 1400/1500 °F. The new system is optimally engineered to destroy volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from the chemical process, as well as any chlorinated hydrocarbons that may be present.
This system shipped to the customer's facility in Arkansas, and has been operating on site successfully for several months, exceeding all regulatory requirements and the customers needs.
Smoke Stacks

WASHINGTON - The EPA proposed tougher new limits
on smokestack emissions from nearly two dozen states that burden downwind areas with air pollution from power plants they can't control.

Under the proposal, states would have to comply with
air quality standards for ozone, or smog, set by  Bush administration in 2008. Current rules are based on pollution standards developed in the late 1990s.

"This update will help protect the health and lives of millions of Americans by reducing exposure to ozone pollution, which is linked to serious public health effects including reduced lung function, asthma ... and early death from respiratory and cardiovascular causes," stated EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy.

China on

For the first time ever, on Monday, December 6th, a RED ALERT came into effect.  In  Beijing the intensity of the tiny particles known as PM 2.5 reached the epic saturation levels beyond 290 micro-grams per cubic meter, which shut down the city and surrounding suburbs. Pollution levels far exceed The World Health Organization's max  threshold at 25 micro-grams per cubic meter.

This with undoubtedly put pressure on the Chinese Government and Industries to place the air quality crisis at the top of their agendas.

Air Pollution

A Chinese clear air company, Xiao Zhu, uses factory smoke to creatively illustrate dangers of air pollution. China has  more than 500,000 deaths annually causes related to extreme levels of airborne contaminants. True change lies within education and protest and Xiao Zhu is getting an impactful and hard to miss message out there.

U.S.&China B2B Matchmaking Meetings

The US Department of Commerce and the Institute of Clean Air Companies (ICAC) co-sponsored the U.S. China Environmental B2B Matchmaking Meeting in Pasadena, California. It was a full day of one-on-one interviews with over 30 Chines environmental companies and networking, and a great opportunity for those attending to network for partners in China

Our CEO & President, Aziz Jamaluddin, had the recent honor of being selected by the Secretary of Commerce to serve on the Environmental Technology Trade Advisory Committee (ETTAC) for the US Department of Commerce.  As climate change demands a global response, the primary role of committee, as Industry leaders, is to advise on necessary pollution abatement technologies and strategies for the international community.

With nearly 40 years of experience in the international air pollution business, Aziz brings a wealth of insight to global air quality issues and the many barriers that US companies face in doing business overseas, with varying regulations and trade policies.

Fact 1:  The average person breathes 2 gallons of air per minute, or around 3400 gallons of air each day.

Fact 2:  Lethal  Air pollution is not a recent occurrence. In 1952, the Great  Smog  of London killed 8000 people.

Fact 3:  Toxic air pollution poses a greater threat to children, due to their smaller physical size and lung capacity.

Fact 4:  Air pollution that causes smog affects dolphins and makes them suffer from black lung diseases.

Fact 5:  Outdoor air pollution, ranks in the top ten killers on earth.

Fact 6:  The number of people who die in America every year due to the affects of air pollution is over 50,000.

Fact 7:  Heavy crude oil production increases air pollution 40% more than light crude oil.

Fact 8:  By 2050, it is estimated that 6 million people a year  will die due to air pollution.
