As we reflect on 2018, we are thankful for all the opportunities we have had to collaborate with clients and colleagues on interesting and technically challenging problems.
If there was one overarching theme for our work this year, it was “diversity”. Our analytics work spanned projects in (get ready!): index insurance, antimicrobial resistance, invasive species, strategic decision-making, R&D portfolio evaluation, infrastructure planning, sales planning optimization, insurance pricing, shipment optimization, blueberries, livestock, dams, pharmaceuticals, mining, oil, natural gas, aquaculture, and yes, even whisky blending! This is in addition to the training courses we delivered this year across Europe, the US, Africa, and Asia.
All of this was accomplished by our highly competent team of consultants (every consultant in EpiX has a PhD in a quantitative field) and supported by our fantastic administrative staff. As EpiX, we’re thankful for a great team. Collaboration is what makes us all thrive!
On a more sobering subject, the year-end also provides us the opportunity to give back. We are fortunate to be living prosperous lives and to have had opportunities to pursue careers, passions, and family life. Unfortunately, too much of the world lacks such opportunities. We at EpiX have made a commitment to
share
our success, and since our inception, we have supported scholarships, grants, and various non-profits. This year we also worked very hard to release a much more user-friendly and improved version of
ModelAssist
, our free risk modeling training and reference resource.
