All Care Health Center’s Board of Directors has named All Care’s Chief Financial Officer Jacquie Peregoy, Interim CEO, following the May 19 departure of former CEO Bill Wypyski. Jacquie has been with All Care since April 2014. She served as the Director of Finance until recently, being named Chief Financial Officer of the nonprofit health center, where her primary role continues. The Chairperson of All Care Health Center’s Board of Directors, Jill King, stated, “Jacquie will be vital to keeping ACHC running smoothly during the transition.”

Peregoy is a Council Bluffs native who graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School. She followed her graduation with an Associate of Arts Degree from Iowa Western and continued her education at the University of Nebraska at Omaha to earn a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with an Accounting Major. Peregoy’s extensive finance career has been centered in the metro. She continues to call Council Bluffs home, where she and her husband have raised their family and where she provides a home for her rare pedigree Arabian horses. Jacquie belongs to several horse rescue networks who helped to save over 500 horses from slaughter, just last year. On her own, she personally tries to rescue at least one equine each year. 

All Care Health Center’s Board of Directors formed a search committee to fill the open leadership position. King states, “We have received several qualified applications and have begun first-round interviews.”

Epic Changes Coming to All Care

Over the past several years, All Care has worked through some great transformations to improve the patient experience. Because the patient is at the center of our work, we want to continue to make the experience at All Care Epic!

Late this summer, All Care will be moving to Epic, an integrated, standard, and comprehensive electronic health record system that supports Iowa's health centers to achieve health equity for all. Epic will safely and effectively support the patients of All Care Health Center while producing high-quality data that is trusted, easy to understand, meaningful, and actionable for patient care and population health. Simply stated, it will help the All Care team to provide an even better care experience for our patients.  

Over 253 million American patients and over 285 million worldwide have an electronic health record in Epic. Epic is a best-in-class solution that will provide integrated care to patients within and across health centers. Patients can expect a better patient portal to view lab results and other information so they can work alongside their providers for optimum health outcomes. 

All Care Health Center is among eleven community health centers in Iowa that are currently in the implementation phase of the conversion. Go live is expected on August 29. Stay tuned for more patient-centered Epic information regarding what patients can expect.

Five Farm Fresh Nights Out in June!

We love the farmer’s market! Farmer’s Market Council Bluffs (FMCB) is the place to be for locally sourced farm-fresh foods and homegrown fun! The farmer’s market will be held FIVE times in the month of June, each Thursday, from 4:30pm – 7:30pm, at Bayliss Park in Council Bluffs.
