The Search Committee’s charge is to present a slate of qualified candidates to the Standing Committee. The Search Committee does not select the next bishop. Bishop Mayer joins 154 Episcopal bishops in issuing message calling for immigration policies respecting the dignity of all

More than half of all living bishops in The Episcopal Church added their names to a “message to our fellow Americans” expressing “grief, righteous anger and steadfast hope” in response to the aggressive federal immigration enforcement operations that have left two U.S. citizens in Minnesota dead. 2025 Parochial Report Due March 1

In accordance with The Episcopal Church and Diocesan Canons, a report of every Parish and other Congregation of this Church shall be prepared annually for the year ending December 31, and shall be filed not later than March 1 with the Bishop of the Diocese. The filing of this report shall be the joint duty of the Rector or Member of the Clergy in charge and the lay leadership. The report shall be approved by the Vestry or Bishop’s Committee prior to being filed. For more information, click here or here.

Brother Jimmy Haney Ordained as Deacon

On December 13, 2025, Brother Jimmy Haney was ordained as a Deacon at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Lubbock, Texas. Brother Jimmy is currently a student at Seminary of the Southwest in Austin. To see more picture from this wonderful event, click here.

Fr. Joe Biles ordained to the Sacred Order of Priests

On January 14, 2026, Fr. Joe Biles was ordained to the Sacred Order of Priests at Heavenly Rest Episcopal Church in Abilene, Texas. Fr. Joe is currently the pastoral assistant at the Church of the Heavenly Rest in Abilene and Trinity Episcopal Church in Albany. To watch the ordination, click here.
