Easter Vigil


4/5—Join us for the Great Vigil of Easter at 6:00 a.m. to begin our Easter celebration.


There will be incense at this service.


Remember to bring bells to ring and plan to stay afterwards for some bubbly and strawberries.


Flowering of the Cross



Please bring a flower from home to flower the cross in the courtyard.

All are welcome to participate in this beloved tradition as the cross is brought to life with color and beauty as a living symbol of resurrection.


Place a flower (from your own garden if you like) in the cross that will be set up in the courtyard on Easter morning.

Easter Breakfast


4/5—Easter Breakfast will be served from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Please sign up at epiphany.org/rsvp with your table ready breakfast dishes to share (fruit, sweets, casseroles, and other savories) and remember to put your name on your dishes.


Parish Life will provide biscuits with jams and jellies, ham, and beverages. Include a card listing dietary/allergen comments (i.e., meat, dairy, gluten, nut ingredients).

Easter Egg Hunt


4/5—Gather your children (up to 5th grade) in the church nave after the first service for instructions and we will dismiss for the egg hunt from there at 10:15 a.m.


Please bring your own baskets.

Art Ministry

For April, Epiphany’s Art Ministry is featuring works by our parish youth. The works cover a range of mediums. Please support our impressive youth exhibit and enjoy reading their brief artist statements/bios in the gallery. 50% of all sales benefit the youth Summer trip and 50% to our youth artists. Stands and frames are included in the purchase. Please sign up on the price sheet then use the QR code to make payments. You can also pay by check. Payments need to be made to Church of the Epiphany, and note the number of the art piece in the memo field. Donations also welcome!

Thank you to everyone who donated to the Non-Pantry Drive in March sponsored by the ECW. Items donated for Emmaus House are used for things not covered by the SNAP program.

Quarterly Dinner for Holy Comforter

Wednesday, April 8

4/8—Holy Comforter is a unique worshipping community in the heart of Atlanta. About 60% of this congregation lives with mental illness. We prepare a meal during the afternoon and take the meal to the church, leaving at 6:00 p.m., and serve after the 6:30 p.m. service. After serving, the volunteers join the parishioners for dinner.

Social Justice Action GroupVirtual Group

This social advocacy group promotes social and cultural change. The group identifies community events in which we can participate, and provides a curated list of local community happenings via Realm Groups. If you’d like to be part of this group, join via Realm Groups to view current opportunities of social justice action in our area.

United Thank Offering (UTO)

UTO contributions from Episcopalians around the world support more than 5,300 Episcopal missions and ministries.


  • In 1952, funds made an airplane available to the Bishop of Alaska, enabling him to serve people in widespread areas. 
  • In 2015, our Diocese received a grant for early childhood training at Rainbow Village.
  • Last year, 27 grants were given to the Dioceses of Western Louisiana, California Central Valley, South Dakota, Colorado, and the Southwestern diocese of Brazil for projects focusing on water access, sanitation, and education.

Contemplative Book Group

Thursdays at 11:00 a.m. April 16 through May 21

4/16—The Contemplative Book Group will begin reflecting on Fully Alive – Tending to the Soul in Turbulent Times by Elizabeth Oldfield on Thursdays at 11:00 am from April 16 through May 21 in Room 201.


Oldfield’s book provides a framework for exploring ways we can stay “fully alive,” resilient, kind, open, generous, and brave, in these turbulent times.

5/3—Our annual Youth Sunday and graduate recognition is Sunday, May 3 during the service. Youth are invited to serve in a variety of ways during this service. If your youth is interested in participating in the youth Sunday service, please contact Taylor Irwin by Sunday, April 19.

ECW Monthly Meeting

2nd Tuesdays at 9:30/11:00 a.m. • parish hall

4/14—The ECW meets monthly at 9:30 a.m. to make sandwiches for Emmaus House. The meeting and program begin at 11:00 a.m. in the parish hall. Afterwards, they will adjourn to Melton’s App & Tap for lunch.

Spring Newcomers' Gathering

Sunday, April 19 at 4:00 p.m. • Courtyard

4/19—Epiphany’s membership committee invites all newcomers and visitors, both individuals and families, to a reception with sweet and savory snacks from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. Old-timers are welcome too! The committee is providing the desserts. This social gathering will be a time to get to know one another and learn more about our parish, programs, and ministries from clergy and parishioners. We also offer a tour of our campus.

Youth Group Family Bowling Night

4/19—Youth and their families are invited to a bowling night at Comet Lanes in Decatur! The cost of this event is $10. Please RSVP by April 12. 

Chez Epiphany Cooking Class

Thursday, April 23 at 6:00 p.m.

4/23—The next Chez Epiphany Cooking Class with Joel Fowler will be Thursday, April 23 from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. The plan this time is to cook two griddle items. Okonomiyaki (Japanese savory pancakes) and grilled fruit skewers with dessert sauces. The cost is $30 per person, which includes the class and the dinner we have together from what we cook.

The Bach/Biber Project

Sunday, April 26 at 4:00 p.m. • Nave

4/26—Join us for the 6th and final performance of the Bach/Biber Project with violinist Judith Cox and organist Julie Ryder. 


This presentation will take place as part of our monthly Contemplative Practice.


Donations welcome, and a reception in celebration of this 3-year cycle will follow.

Youth Pilgrimage to Camp Mikell

This year, our youth pilgrimage takes a new shape as students are invited to attend Camp Mikell’s Intermediate Camp (June 16–22 for rising 7th–9th graders) and Work Camp (July 12-18 for rising 10th graders through recent graduates). Money raised during youth fundraisers in the coming months will help offset registration costs, and we will travel together to and from Toccoa. Vacation Bible School

This year’s VBS will take a new shape! Families with children ages 3 through 5th grade are invited to gather for three Saturdays this summer for a shared experience of storytelling, service, and Sacrament. Join us on June 27, July 11, and July 25, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Mark your calendars and stay tuned for more information about youth counselors and adult volunteer opportunities.
