Art Ministry

Now Showing for the Month of March

New items have been added

For March, Epiphany’s Art Ministry welcomes beautiful items from Ghana made by the Dignity Sewing Centre. The Dignity Sewing Centre is a partnership of the Diocese of Atlanta and the Anglican Diocese of Cape Coast. This partnership and burgeoning justice enterprise not only provides a sense of purpose and dignity of work for young people in Cape Coast, but it allows for an exchange of culture and history between these two Dioceses. The clothes and bags are made from authentic Ghanaian kente cloth and fabric, are infused with power, faith, and beauty, joy, and dignity.

For this show, 100% of all sales benefits Dignity Sewing Center. Sign up on the price sheet and pay by QR code on the art table.

Holy Week Contemplative Anointing Service

Monday, March 30 at 6:00 p.m.

smmarymagdalenewithjesusthechrist image

3/30—Right before Jesus’ final entrance into Jerusalem, he stops in Bethany where Mary the Magdalene anoints him with costly perfume. In honor of this act of love, we offer a service during Holy Week where we remember that anointing, and Mary’s presence accompanying Jesus at his crucifixion, at the tomb, and at the resurrection.

The liturgy, written by the Rev. Cynthia Bourgeault, includes readings, contemplative chant, silence, and anointing one another. As we remember Christ’s anointing and experience our own, we are drawn more deeply toward the heart of divine love and place Mary the Magdalene back in her rightful place as a central figure in Holy Week as one of Jesus’ apostles.

If you would like to participate in this service by doing a reading, please click the button to sign up.

Easter Candy Donations

DEADLINE: We need all candy donations by Tuesday, March 31.

Please consider donating a bag of candy with small pieces to fit into our plastic Easter Eggs for our annual Easter Egg Hunt. You can drop off candy at Epiphany during regular office hours or on Sunday mornings, in the bin beside the front entrance. We need all candy by Tuesday, March 31.

The Supper requires reservations. Each seat at the table brings a specific food item listed for their table. Visit the reservation page for more details about the meal and to reserve your seat.

4/3—From as early as the fourth century, pilgrims have traveled to Jerusalem to walk in the footsteps of Jesus as he made his way from the trial with Pontius Pilate to the cross and to the tomb for his burial. This day we walk the Stations of the Cross as a mini-pilgrimage in prayer and contemplation.

The stations at Epiphany were created by former parishioner and talented artist Jim Stevens. We hope that these carvings and prayers will help you to approach the way of the cross with a special reverence.
